    LABORATORY FACILITIES
    Description
    Hands on experience in Sheet Metal Fabrication, Welding, Plumbing and
    Carpentry Works.
    Hands on experience in various manufacturing operations like facing, turning,
    drilling, taping, threading, knurling, grinding, milling, slotting, CNC machine
    etc.
    Hands on experience in fluid flow measurements using different devices like
    Orificemeter, Venturimeter, Rotameter and also perform calculations related to
    losses in pipes and also perform characteristic study of Pumps, Turbines etc.

    Hands on experience in testing engineering materials which undergo various


    action of forces and also determining the material characteristics experimentally.
    Hands on experience in testing the performance and characteristics of IC
    engines, steam turbines, Air conditioning systems, etc.

    The students will be trained to understand the concept of Mechanism,


    Displacement, Velocity & Acceleration of moving links. The students may
    analyze the theory of gears, cam and also study the effects of unbalances in
    Rotors and Engines. The students can also understand the concept of Vibratory
    Systems and their analysis and the principles of Governors and Gyroscope.

    Hand on experience in various Linear and Angular Measuring Equipment for the
    quality inspection of various engineering components.
    Hands on experience in various 3D modelling and analysis softwares like
    Solidworks, CATIA, ANSYS, Matlab etc. in order to provide an ability to create
    2D, 3D Models and analysing of various engineering components.
    Hands on experience in Pneumatic and hydraulic systems and study of various
    sensors, actuators and controllers in order to automate the mechanical systems.
