Donghua
The Hangzhou Donghua Chain Group is one of the biggest chain producers in the world and started its European
activity in 2009. Since the early nineties Donghua has been producing and branding complete chains for well
known European chain manufacturers. To supply its European customers direct, Donghua decided to develop
local facilities in the European market. For this reason warehouses with substantial stocks in Alkmaar (The
Netherlands), Leverkusen (Germany), Wednesfield (UK) and Budapest (Hungary) have been established.
Donghua international BV, Donghua Ltd. and Donghua Kft. are all full daughter companies of the Donghua Chain
Group Co, Ltd. in China.

The Donghua Chain Group Co, Ltd. is located in Hangzhou, an industrial town near to the Chinese East Coast,
300 kilometers from Shanghai. Donghua employ more than 3000 employees, working together they produce
more than 50.000 tons of finished chains per year. When considering the whole product range and production,
Donghua is probably one of the biggest chain manufacturers worldwide.
Quality Performance
Chains from Donghua are ISO9001-2000 and API certified. All leaf chains are made according ANSI BL series
ISO DIN8152, LL series DIN8152 ISO 4347, AL series ANSI B29.8 1958 AL norm and works norm.
Donghua has in its production, their own cold rolling mills for the plate material. To ensure exact plate thickness
in the finest tolerance classes. All chains are produced with their own unique production code for track and
traceability. Shot peaning and calibration of the pin holes are standard in our production process.
Customers select us because of the unique price/performance ratio of our products. Our European team has
experience of more than 25 years in design, development and production of chain solutions. Our expertise fits
the needs of both OEM and replacement market MRO partners.

The key to our successes in Europe is the availability of our program in our logistic centers and partner
warehouses throughout Europe. Almost all available types and specials are constantly available from our stocks.
All Standard leaf chains are delivered on reels. Up to 5/8 pitch we have 50 meter reels and up to 11/2 pitch
we have 30 meter reels. For heavy and special leaf chains we are using special packaging.
Competence centre
Donghua International BV is specialized towards engineering, construction assembly of specials, cutting and
full automatic cutting, refining of intermediate products, supplying chain systems, warehousing, logistics and
technical support. Following our Chinese heritage we are always very flexible and available to listen to our
customer needs. Top engineers and product specialist are available and are supporting daily, original equipment
manufacturers and our partners in the replacement market.
To meet all specifications regarding fatigue resistance, wear resistance and breaking load we have the availability
of a complete and fully equipped laboratory. Breaking load testing, hardness testing, material spectrum analyses,
3-D optical measuring equipment and of course all kind of classical measuring equipment is used to make our
certificates and constantly prove our quality performance.

Donghua leaf chains are unique. Every single component is reproduced according to the exact

For outside environments like in winter times when salt is used to clean the highways and secondary roads,
Mobile Fork Lift Trucks fitted with Donghua Dacromet Coated leaf chains have proven to be the most corrosion
resistant.
Life time has been extended by more than 50% without losing breaking load, fatigue resistance and wear
resistance, Donghua coated leaf chains are problem solvers in these types of applications.

Sky Stacker leaf chains are probably the most difficult and most heavy loaded hoisting chains you can imagine.
Heavy shock loads, high accelerations, high de-accelerations, outside and salty environment, are the most
important quality issues for Sky Stacker chains in these kind of applications. Donghua Sky Stacker leaf chains
are independently tested on different Sky Stacker brands. Donghua has proven to be best in class. Best
wear resistance, best fatigue resistance and best average breaking loads. With new material alloys, new
material treatments and with new hardening equipment Donghua has achieved a unique quality/price ratio.

Special leaf chains with plastic guides

Leaf chains with externally positioned plastic tube guides are generally used in forklifts as load chains. The plastic link
plates are usually mounted on the outside of the pins and have following effect: When the unavoidable vibration or
jamming of the chain occurs, the chain links will not hit the piston rod of the hydraulic cylinder, but the protruding plastic link
plates. This means that neither chain or cylinder are damaged. The plastic coverings are also available as inside-positioned,
T, U or L formed coverings.
Advantages of the technically enhanced leaf chains
Higher fatigue strenght due to optimized press fit pin and outer link plates
Higher tensile strenght due to optimized plate strenght
Higher wear resistance due to higher surface hardness of the pins (> 52 HRC)
Enhanced emergency running properties due to ground pin surfaces and special lubricants
High fitting accuracy due to limiting the tolerances when* using cold rolled strips for all link plates
Higher reliability by AVIS (Automatic Visual Inspection) for securing the full link plate number and arrangement
as well as controlling the link plate thickness

The Hangzhou Donghua Chain Group is one of the biggest chain producers in the world and started its European
activity in 2009. Since the early nineties Donghua has been producing and branding complete chains for well
known European chain manufacturers. To supply its European customers direct, Donghua decided to develop
local facilities in the European market. For this reason warehouses with substantial stocks in Alkmaar (The
Netherlands), Leverkusen (Germany), Wednesfield (UK) and Budapest (Hungary) have been established.

The Donghua Chain Group Co, Ltd. is located in Hangzhou, an industrial town near to the Chinese East Coast,
300 kilometers from Shanghai. Donghua employ more than 3000 employees, working together they produce
more than 50.000 tons of finished chains per year. When considering the whole product range and production,
Donghua is probably one of the biggest chain manufacturers worldwide.
Quality Performance
Chains from Donghua are ISO9001-2000 and API certified. All leaf chains are made according ANSI BL series
ISO DIN8152, LL series DIN8152 ISO 4347, AL series ANSI B29.8 1958 AL norm and works norm.
Donghua has in its production, their own cold rolling mills for the plate material. To ensure exact plate thickness
in the finest tolerance classes. All chains are produced with their own unique production code for track and
traceability. Shot peaning and calibration of the pin holes are standard in our production process.

experience of more than 25 years in design, development and production of chain solutions. Our expertise fits

The key to our successes in Europe is the availability of our program in our logistic centers and partner
warehouses throughout Europe. Almost all available types and specials are constantly available from our stocks.
All Standard leaf chains are delivered on reels. Up to 5/8 pitch we have 50 meter reels and up to 11/2 pitch
we have 30 meter reels. For heavy and special leaf chains we are using special packaging.

Donghua International BV is specialized towards engineering, construction assembly of specials, cutting and
full automatic cutting, refining of intermediate products, supplying chain systems, warehousing, logistics and
technical support. Following our Chinese heritage we are always very flexible and available to listen to our
customer needs. Top engineers and product specialist are available and are supporting daily, original equipment
manufacturers and our partners in the replacement market.
To meet all specifications regarding fatigue resistance, wear resistance and breaking load we have the availability
of a complete and fully equipped laboratory. Breaking load testing, hardness testing, material spectrum analyses,
3-D optical measuring equipment and of course all kind of classical measuring equipment is used to make our
certificates and constantly prove our quality performance.

Leaf chains with externally positioned plastic tube guides are generally used in forklifts as load chains. The plastic link
plates are usually mounted on the outside of the pins and have following effect: When the unavoidable vibration or
jamming of the chain occurs, the chain links will not hit the piston rod of the hydraulic cylinder, but the protruding plastic link
plates. This means that neither chain or cylinder are damaged. The plastic coverings are also available as inside-positioned,
T, U or L formed coverings.
Advantages of the technically enhanced leaf chains
Higher fatigue strenght due to optimized press fit pin and outer link plates
Higher tensile strenght due to optimized plate strenght
Higher wear resistance due to higher surface hardness of the pins (> 52 HRC)
Enhanced emergency running properties due to ground pin surfaces and special lubricants
High fitting accuracy due to limiting the tolerances when* using cold rolled strips for all link plates
Higher reliability by AVIS (Automatic Visual Inspection) for securing the full link plate number and arrangement
as well as controlling the link plate thickness
