This Method Statement will be issued to the Site Engineers/Supervisors and will be
briefed in the internal meeting and in the workers induction meetings. Project
Manager/Project Engineer must ensure that the current revision of all drawings and
documents are available at site documentation and are bought to the attention of all
supervisory staffs.
a) The Project Manager at site is responsible for overall execution of the job as per
specifications/technical data. He has full authority and overall responsibility to manage,
supervise and control the works.
b) The Site Engineer is responsible for the execution of this work.
c) The HSE Engineer is responsible for supervising the works to ensure full compliance
with HSE requirements and procedures. And to ensure the Communication and
implementation of the methods as per the Risk Assessment.
PROCEDURE:
Surface Preparion:
Identify the damaged area and wire brush the affected areas to bare steel to
minimum standard of St3 and use emery paper on surrounding areas to feather the
edges over a distance of 50mm.
Remove damaged paints,if any.

The spray gun should be kept at right angles to the surface and the gunshould be triggered
at the end of each pass.The ideal distance for holding a conventional spray gun from the surface
being coated is 08-10inches(25-30cm) as this will ensure a full wet coat applied. Distance in excess
of 10inched (26cm) encourage pin-holding, dry spray and over-spray occurs.

APPLICATIONS
Epigrip L425T Zinc Phosphate Epoxy Primer applied by conventional spray with a dilution of 5-7%
with thinner no.5, Apply primer coat with DFT 75 microns.
Wait for 2-3 hrs until primer properly dry for applying top coat.
After minimum 4 hours of drying Epigrip L425T, apply Epigrip K267T as intermediate with 8 -9%
thinner No.5
Wait for 2-3 hours until intermediate coat properly dry for applying top coat.
After minimum 6 hours of drying Epigrip K267T, apply Resistex M237 Clear matt
using conventional spray gunwith 10% thinning( Thinner No.5)
Top coat should be applied entire whole area to match the previous colour.
Please read HSE information given in TDS and MSDS before using the product.
Base and additives should be mixed asper mixing ratio mentioned in technical data
sheet and it should be properly stirred 3-5 minutes.

Work Environment:
Drinking water provided in 20-liter coolers.
Replacement drink (juice with salt, sugar and glucose) provided to all workers twice
during morning and afternoon to minimize impact of heat exposure.
Rest shelters provided near the working areaby AFC.
During high wind/severe weather condition where visibility will hamper the
operation, Construction and Safety will advise the workers on approved action to
take.

Main Contractors Health, Safety and Environment Plan.
The contract drawings prepared for the scheme.
Inspection
The QC Inspectors of AFC, ASSENT shall carry out the necessary inspections in
various stages of the works to ensure this procedure is followed properly. Inspection
shall be based on the approved ITP.
An ITR will raised to the consultant for inspection and acceptance .
All tool box talk attendance sheets must be turned over for submission to HSE
department.
Housekeeping:
Unwanted materials/supplies shall be removed from site to ensure clear
access/egress for personnel and equipment.
Proper barricading and signage shall be implemented on hazard areas and
temporary stores.
Maintain proper access and egress for workers and equipment.
All permits to work required must be valid and approved before the start of the job.
Permit original copies must be in the site; inside the permit box.
All conditions provided in the permit shall be complied and maintained form the
start up to completion of the works.
Electricity:
Lighting facility (tower lights & flashing lights) for night work are provided by AFC.
All energized equipment shall be properly grounded.
Qualified mechanic/electrician shall be deployed during the operation to respond
the need for lighting relocation and installation.
Panel boards or extension cords used in site shall be properly checked and color
coded.
To mitigate tripping hazard, power/electrical cables shall be either installed in
between scaffold planks or elevated stands in access/egress.
Road/traffic safety:
Parking area will be provided by AFC; with sign boards
All vehicles and equipment in the site shall observe strict road safety; that is follow
site speed limit, seat belt fastened by driver and all passengers, pedestrians are
respected and allowed to pass first all the time.
Distribution of information:
This method will be submitted to the consultant for approval.After approval the site
engineer communicate this MSRA to site team and record will be maintained,
