Day of the Week MATERIALS NOTES
Roll and Round 1. Roll two dice. Monday: 2. Color the two-digit number green. 3. Round the two-digit number to the nearest ten and Roll to 120 color that spot blue. 3. Repeat these steps ten times Think of 2 two-digit numbers. Round them and Tuesday: Journal prompt estimate the sum. Draw base ten blocks to support Journals your answer. I have Who has cards: 1. Students deal out answer cards. Answer cards 2. Make a pile of question cards face down. Wednesday Question Cards (The student whose name begins with the first letter of the alphabet gets to pick the first question card.) I Have Who Has 3. The student who answers correctly first gets to flip the next question card. Repeat step 3 until someone is out of answer cards (they are the winner). Estimation Bingo 1. Get a board, baggie of facts, dry erase marker, and a Work in groups of two or recording sheet. three 2. Pick a fact card, solve it on your recording sheet, then Thursday: color over the spot that has the estimated sum. (The student whose name begins with the first letter of the alphabet Estimation Bingo gets to pick the first fact card). 3. Repeat until someone gets bingo. 4.
