NMS Cable

Fix IDU to rack using screws

Then other cables connect as above figure


Single ODU 1+1 ODU configuration

Connect the IDU to ODU by using IF cable and both connection node should be installed surge arresters
supplied by vendor.
Install Ethernet Card

Remove IDU Cover and do following steps

PC with windows 2000/XP 0r Vista
Software tools
Alcatel Low Layer manager
TCO Suit
Alcatel CT

Install Software

1. Insert TCO suit CD to CD-ROM


2. Open CD-ROM Double click Start Icon

3. Click [Advance Settings]


4. Install Software one by one(restart if needed) by clicking buttons.

5. Go to Add Hardware Wizard in Control panel Click [Next>]

Note: Accept Desktop shortcut


6. Choose second option and Click [Next>] as following figure.

7. Select Show All device Click [Next].

8. Click [Have Disk].


9. Click[Brows] (select file path /windows/system32/drivers/LLmanLLC/LLmanLLC.inf)

10. Click [OK] then file will be installed to computer.


Setup Lower Layer Settings

11. Setup Lower layers settings as follows

Provisioning
1. Run Start>Alcatel Lucent>Lower Layer Manager.
2. Double Click on TCO Suit icon on desktop.(Use IE6 or higher version as a default browser)

3. Click on [Provisioning Tool ] and give IP address of Awy 9400 IDU

4. Select the version and Click [OK]


5. Setup first page parameter as follows click [Next]

6. Click [All Unframed] on Tributary tab click


7. Click on [Ethernet GPort] setup as following figure.

8. Click on [Ethernet GPort] setup as following figure.


9. Click on [GEthernet Configuration] set values as follows and Click [Next]
10. VLAN setting configure as follows (especially important to 3G network transmission).
11. Add Tx power and frequencies

12. Dont need to configure this step.

13. Configure OSPF settings.


14. Configure IP Settings

15. Configure NMS Connectivity

16. Dont need to configure this step.


17. Dont need to configure this step.

18. Dont need to configure this step.

19. Dont need to configure this step.

20. Click [Apply].
