quick decision on where one would refuel enrout
This site is pointless and a waste of time for anyone not living in a major town
with a population greater than 10,000.

1. When I search for Maryland (2287) the result is Metro Fuel Bolwarra Heights 200
Paterson Rd, Bolwarra Heights NSW 2320 (ditance 4.95km). This is actually 37km
away!!! 2. There is a caltex service station and a 7-11 on Minmi rd Maryland NSW
2287 yet they do not appear on your system. Your system is not mature and needs to
be fixed before releasing it to the public. Another poor software release, just
like the census.
It needs a distance based listing which can be changed to list all prices in lowest
to highest order. If every single social app can do it, why can't this one??

My first usage of this app said after entering 2154 as my post code, the 7 eleven
on Old Northern Road Castle Hill had the best price. The sad part of all this is
that service station has been closed for over a week for renovation. So I'm not in
the least happy that this app is accurate.

Good idea in theory, however there doesn't seem to be any monitoring of the service
stations save for people lodging complaints. Today I visited 3 separate service
stations in the Newcastle area, all had different prices to the advertised price on

Difficult to use for Diesel. What is the difference between Diesel and Premium
Diesel, other than what the retailers call it? For example, Caltex in 2077. At the
moment, I have to do two queries to find all diesel prices and cannot compare all.

We need to be able to select more than one fuel type as there is very little
difference between Diesel and Premium Diesel - it is necessary to be able to search
for both at once because some fuel stations call their only available diesel
"Premium Diesel" and others list it as "Diesel", we need to see all available

Caltex service stations need to indicate whether or not they have the Woolworths
affiliation - this can make a significant difference to overall price and we should
not have to search elsewhere to find out.
You need to allow selection of more than one fuel type in your filter. Many cars
can take multiple fuel types (eg. Diesel and Premium Diesel) that compete against
each other. Premium diesel is just a marketing strategy. Most Caltex offer only
so called Premium Diesel while most others just call theirs Diesel.

After travelling to the cheapest petrol station I find its closed and being
renovated. There is no way it could have reported the cheap price and must have
been old. Trying to lodge a price mismatch however your reporting is to limited and
requires a price.

The app is only as useful to deliver the outcome. This app by NSW Government is a
poor tick box that is disconnected to a fair petrol price. The usual excuses by the
fuel companies are high Oil Price and unfavourable exchange rate. For a while, I
have monitored the price of Oil per barrel, USD-AUD exchange rate and Petrol price
in NSW. There is no cor-relationship at all as to why the petrol price is very
high. Perhaps the app can be more useful if we are able to view the price of petrol
in relation to the Exchange Rate and Oil Price per barrel. This will be more
helpful.

Found a major failure. Details for the location of a petrol station were entered
incorrectly, as such the station can't have directions to it given because as far
as google knows the street doesn't exist due to the incorrect details. Would like a
report incorrect details button on fuel stations so if an issue is found it can be
reported. The station in question is Lowes Orange - 76-82 Persley Street, Orange
NSW 2800. It should be Peisley not Persley.

Minorca Pl Toormina NSW was 127.9 for ulp the price they were charging was 144..9.

Great app however map zooming needs some work. It’s very hard to use the map if you
live in a rural area as it won’t let you zoom out to include nearby towns, so you
have to manually scroll lots. I understand zooming out can be a performance issue
(if you live in a city with lots of data points). Suggest you dynamically
calculate the max zoom allowed so that at least three servos are included. That way
rural users will see the nearest town on the map

me, it told me caltex woolies albion park was $151.9. I get here 1 minute later
and its displaying $153.9! So who is right and who is wrong? I have screenshot the

Perhaps allow each user to create their own list of favourite stations that they
can save/bookmark for future reference, without having to search again. For me I
may choose to fill up 150kms away when visiting family, so having those stations
listed is helpful, as well as to be able to see whether there are any large
differences in price.

When u report mismatch about prices at a fuel station the browser gives validation
errors around parsing date and time, and never lets u submit the mismatch, maybe
someone put an untested application in production

The Fuel Check app is fantastic - I love that there is the function to send
notifications when the price drops at my favourite petrol stations. It would also
be very useful to have a notification feature if the price increases. Then I would
be able to use the app to find petrol stations (where the price has not risen) and
fill up quickly. This would help consumer take advantage of the petrol price cycle
and fill up at stations with a lower price before the price spikes. Thanks

I've put in Singleton NSW and have my location turned on but gives me somewhere in

The general concept is fantastic however the filters need attention as they don't
work properly. It would be useful if it gave the user the opportunity to select
multiple fuel types when applying search parameters. Not all fuels at every service
station have exactly the same name but a similar fuel under a different name may be
available and users should be able to include these other fuels or brands in the
search.
I went to the website at 1400 today. I live in Belfield NSW 2191. The prices appear
to be out-of-date. For example, your website would say that E10 is 98.9 at the 420
Punchbowl Rd Greenacre/Belfield petrol station. But when I get there, the price is

Most of the service stations have higher prices than what your site advertises. For
example, the Caltex station in East Corral is advertised as having petrol just over
a $1/litre for unleaded. In fact it is $1.21/litre and has been for some time. Its
exactly the same with surrounding stations. The prices are far higher than what is

fuel near me goes to QLD., I am in NSW. fuel in my suburb goes to Sydney, I am in
the Hunter Valley. sites near me are not listed. Products listed are not accurate -
ie premium diesel is only a standard diesel. no information on here is reliable in

I went to the lowest priced stations as suggested on several occasions and they
were all priced considerably higher than shown on this website, with varying
excuses given by the petrol stations for the price mismatches , however the onus
and cost is then placed on the user to police the price mismatch, waste of time. No
wonder the petrol stations don't care, because there's no one enforcing anything.

I put in my postcode and suburb (2077 Hornsby heights but the map came up with me
out near Richmond. There were some prices but when I tried to move to Hornsby
Heights the prices disappeared and I didn't manage to get them back again.

There is no correlation between prices shown at the bowser of some service stations
and prices shown on this web site. If Fuel Watch has punitive powers to ensure
accuracy then they should start to use them.
The first one in Windsor was closed for renovation. The second one in Riverstone

Coles Express Eastern Creek do not sell LPG. You have no way to report this. Coles
Express discontinue selling LPG generally at all service centres.
If you think the highest is $117 you need to look at nowra. We have been at $133.9

Location not working so the app is supplying prices for non local petrol prices
Need to allow either multiple fuel type to be selected in the fleet of a generic
type. For example using diesel and premium diesel make it hard to compare both.
Website is NOT ACCURATE. For a few days late last week I looked at fuel prices at
Belmont and Charlestown. 95Ron was listed at $1.33 and $1.30 at Woolies. So I drove
to Charlestown on Monday only to see Woolies 95RON at $1.53.9. A complete waste of
time and fuel to get there. Did you have a problem with your website late last
week?
No collusion here!!!! Before the app the SS owners would go and at least check
there competitors pricing!!!! Now they just use this app know this as fact from a
local service station owner Check it out and any 2-3-4 service stations within 5-

Fuel at the united service stations in Thornton and Beresfield on Monday 23 Jan
2017 was around the 113 Cpl mark for unleaded 91. These stations don't appear on
the App when I use Thornton as the location. The only service stations that appear
are in East Maitland the next suburb further west.
Average price no where near reality
This app is useless. This is the first time I used it. The cheapest fuel I found on
the app was supposedly Ethanol 105 (E85) at 122.8c, at the Caltex StarMart on the
corner of Tudor Street and Gordon Avenue, Hamilton NSW. The only ethanol they have
is E10 at 140.8c. It is their cheapest fuel. The station attendant said they
haven't had fuel as cheap as 122.8c for 2 weeks. You lot at fuel check should be
sacked, along with the so-called commissioner.

I am aware of several petrol stations operating in Orange who are not listed on the
website. One on Elsham Ave. And another on Woodward St/Byng Street. I am not sure
if there are more but I would suspect there are.

Price of fuel at Merriwa was incorrect. This morning it showed Caltex at Merriwa
$129.9c/L. Arrive here. $138.9c/L = 9cents a litre dearer. No other fuel in
Merriwa. App still says its $129.9. Is the app incorrect or the Fuel station owners

It only ever shows Coles Express and 2 independents for postcode 2153. It never
shows Woolworths or other outlets even when they are selected as the filter.

You seem to have duplicate address of gas stations everywhere. e.g. look at White
St in Tamworth. The same place is listed twice. I have found 200 duplicates because
of whitespace errors in their names. There is probably another 100 duplicates
because suburb is Capitalised, or Rd is not the same as Road. You really should
clean your address data.

There are no LNG stations listed, why is it in the list? i think it should be

What a great idea. Pity your claim of "every service station in NSW" is rubbish.
Example - did a check for Cardiff, NSW. Within a 10 minute drive, a total of 6
service stations. No sign of the Woolies station which is on the main road through
Cardiff. If you look on the Android Fuel Map app, I stopped counting at 15 service
stations in the same search area. I'm not sure if it's your search function
that's the problem, but something is definitely not working and it means this
website is worse than useless - it's actually misleading.

I was only using the website, not the mobile app. I put in my location as Postcode
2440 (Kempsey NSW area) and only ticked suppliers in my area. When I clicked on
Search, it came up with service stations located around the Sydney CBD, with
distance information of around 3KMs on average! If, for whatever reason, GPS
location information is not available, then at least default to the postcode

The metro fuel at Killarney Heights advertises it's price of E10 but when you go in
they have all but one of the E10 pumps locked off saying they are our of order.

This website is NOT updated. There are 2 more petrol stations in Guildford where I

Site was great. Whatever you've done in the last few weeks is dreadful. I now get
hardly any results - there's service stations missing; you only get results for the
immediate suburb which you type in, no others; and you can no longer move the map
along a potential route to get every price along the way. Site is now useless. If

The actual idea and the way the website is simple but effective, the problem I have
is the response or the lack of it. Functions are quite delayed and frustrating. I
honestly think it is in NSW Government best interest to develop an app or Improve
the websites speed and reliability significantly. The websites demand and
popularity justify this, I myself use it regularly as it is extremely useful, but
just wish it could be improved.

Caltex St Ives is listed as supplying unleaded 91 at 109.4. This is wrong and
misleading as they do not supply unleaded 91. Why does the fuelwatch website just

I am using a desktop PC in Narrabri. Fuel Check used to give me local service
stations quickly. Now it seemsto be taking forever to find stations, and when it
does, they do not include Narrabri, but do include Sydney stations over 500 km way!

Many times there have been pricing errors that I have reported. I have never heard
back anything about these reports I've filed. The penalties need to be enforced for
fuel outlets who do not comply.

time given price was last updated/confirmed at given location.
A couple of suggestions: Add a 7 day price history. Show when the price was last
updated for each site. Add a call out when the price is the cheapest it's been in
a 7 day period? You could also give an average price cycle for the searched area?
These features would help users to watch and predict pricing in order to get the
best deal and plan their fuelling.
Be able to save /remember up to say, three towns. I travel from Nowra thru Albion
Park to Sutherland twice a week and it takes time to check each town for the best
deal. Fav servos and fuels (I use a Woolworth disc card) would be awsome too, so it
basically monitors all this or auto updates upon opening and I'm good to go in
seconds :) Generally tho, this app is saving me money.

the app, however, the Petrol Stations need to keep you advised of price changes.

On the map the screen gets very crowded, tried to resize and it takes an ion to
resize. Great concept and it works. I our household we always FuelCheck before we

just have 1 there or allow users to choose 2 types. Otherwise a great app!

Include an Ethanol 95 (E10) category. United Fuels E10 is 95 Octane and suitable
for cars that need 95 Octane (most E10s are listed as 94 Octane (and therefore not
usable in most Euro car engines). I use United E10 which is 95 Octane. This would
help stimulate 95 E10 usage as it is usually 20cents cheaper N.B. Refer to:
https://www.unitedpetroleum.com.au/fuel/e10/ . Perhaps with this option the
competition around 95 Octane discount cycle (which is non-existent) might be
stimulated by more Euro drivers choosing E10/95 fuel instead of Premium 95
products. (Honestly, I think the fuel suppliers are crooks. You can see how Coles
manipulates the margin when they increase their fuel discounts...and there have
been issues with ACCC regarding lack of competition for 95 Octane discounting
cycles in the past). Please include this option and help stimulate competition.

It does not provide accurate information on LPG prices, please check prices in
relation to BP SERVICE STATIONS, many have not sold LPG for many weeks yet the app
displays a price per litre when there is none for sale at many of their locations,
so how can you claim real time information for fuel prices using this app?

brand i.e about 10 options where 95 and 98 show 1 station only. Note that all

Can you ditch the superficial sheila on the splash screen? We don't need her in our
faces ....just a country road scene will do. Also, even as a passenger, she's
breaking the law by having any part of her body, much less her whole arm, out of
the car's window.
I live in a semi-rural town (Hallidays Point, NSW), closest fuel station is 9 km
away. Several others are 15 km away in 2 major towns. On the web site I can zoom
out to compare many stations but the app only shows 1 fuel option, unless I pan
around and try to see others. Perhaps a setting to change search distance? I'm sure
this works great in the city, but not much chop for us who live in the bush.

stations have drop the price to 102cent but i check the pricing on the map itself
its showing the same type of petrol at 125c, and i would get few such notifications

The stations should come up on the map as you scroll over the map instead of

The app keeps opening in Sydney, even though I've enabled locstions and I'm in

version l could zoom out from say Vincentia to Wollongong and see where the

I drove all the way from Lane Cove to this Pennant Hills Coles Express on an almost
empty tank, going via Epping Road instead of Pacific Highway to get to work in
Hornsby. Only to find it is shut down or going through renovations. This app needs

Hi Guys. The Beta app was so good but this now official app obviously had some
troubles. At the moment fuel near me focused on Sydney CBD rather than Avondale
(near Dapto) where I am now. Good luck, then it works correctly, which is most of

This app is a joke. My local garage and all surrounding garages have had the same
prices for a week which are different from those shown on the Fuel check app.
Unless it is made mandatory with penalties applying, the garages will simply ignore
updating prices as they are doing now.

In the iOS app, the My Trip feature returns cheapest petrol stations on the wrong
side of the road! This is not very helpful, especially when access in and out of

The 7-Eleven at 45 Spit Rd Mosman doesn’t have 95 petrol. Perhaps the map is wrong
- there is a nearby 7-Eleven on the other side of Spit Rd (towards Spit Bridge)
which has 95 fuel - but this 7-Eleven isn’t shown on the map.

Dodgy website this is what government work is most of the time . First not all the
station are listed I was checking in casula area and Costco and caltex woolworth on
Camden valley and ash rd not showing .as well when some1 travelled need to have an
option that to choose the location that they are in not necessarily to know what
area they are in or what is that postcode

My first experience with Fuel Check costed me $. I drove 3.5 km to the cheapest
service station for Premium 95 $147.40 to arrive to find their price $1.609 per
litre. I actually drove past cheaper deals to get there (not knowing the price was

20, 30, etc. Sometimes you can combine filling up with a shopping trip or a trip to

The iOS app is crashing when I try to add a station to my favourites. I’d also like

the different companies in “settings”. Missing are 2 x Metros, 1 x BP, 1 x
Woolworths and 1 x Caltex. I live at Summerland Point NSW and only a small local

I don't live in the city. Using postcode 2785 there are only three service stations
shown. There needs to be a way to set a radius for the search, or to automatically
expand the search to include, say, 6 service stations.

None of the listed service stations are near me
Most of the data is wrong. You have certain Caltex petrol stations listed as
offering e85 (105 octane) when Caltex offers no such fuel. Only United Petroleum
offers that fuel.
Favourite stations have not been stored, tried to select them again and app
crashes.

Hi there, it started well, but now on my computer, it will not revert to blank but
maintains the last place I checked (Fyshwick (2609). I have tried unchecking the
'Remember my settings' box, but it won't do it. I have tried deleting it as a
favourite and starting again, but the same page appears. But even then, it no
longer displays the service stations for Fyshwick, but the list for Queanbeyan that
I have looked at in a different search. I do a lot of driving in rural NSW and the
ACT and I'm on the pension so of course comparing fuel prices is important to me.

Excellent website I use very frequently. Sometimes it doesn't load the service

It seems to have no logic to the way of changing the location within the same

The price in the app isn't what's advertised at the fuel station
Actual locations not showing on Desktop past week or so via Google Chrome or
Microsoft Edge web browsers. Mobile App seems ok Can it pleased be fixed asap

I'm a little annoyed that I've searched for my fuel type and location, then I find
that.. The servo didn't have my fuel (95) so I had to use (98)... But what really
added to the frustration was your app reported 2 different prices for the same fuel
at the same servo

Please allow users to select multiple fuel types to view at the same time. Some
stations only have premium diesel so don’t appear when searching for diesel.
Premium diesel can also be cheaper than regular diesel.
Should be able to select multiple fuel types. Eg diesel and premium diesel are the
same depending on what retailer calls it. Also, should be able to select a range
of retailers to identify cheapest price from your selection.
Meant to say choose fuels the same as choose brands function.

It can work. You put in location and it gives you prices for Sydney when you’re
500km away.

This web page app is much better than the Android app. Very useful.
Still missing half the fuel stations. And they are usually the cheapest. Not much

The previous app was much better
Recent updates issued to the app this afternoon do not work properly on the
iPhoneSE. The previous update did, and as a result of the new update the pin wheel
just spins without providing the required fuel check data. Consequently I now need
to log on to your website version rather than the app in order to access the
required information.
I prefer that the map always show when app is opened.

error and not the correct price, please investigate

seem to see on the map are Coles Express stations and a few independents even

Your price is incorrect. The price for E10 this morning is 139.9. Also it does not
list individual stations
Metro petroleum, 36 lane cove road Ryde sold 98 for $1.37 . We filled up 13/2/18
and fuel consumption went from 7.8 l100 to 13.6l100 as we drove out their driveway
along lane cove road. Will never buy fuel from them again! Would be happy for you

Why is the app no longer working. The browser based version is ok, but the app

The map keeps resetting to the original location whenever I move to a new location.
One feature which would really really help...I am travelling from X to Y - show
fuel prices along route. As it stands I have to individually check multiple towns.
Even for somewhere like the blue mountains, I have to check several towns, and they
vary a lot in price. Tomorrow we have a trip from central west NSW to central coast
NSW - prices vary up to 30c p litre.

It would be helpful if the was a set time that the fuel price advertised was valid
for, that is it was reliable within a 24 hour period. Checked the fuel prices
around 4.00 p.m, Wednesday 14/03/2018 and went to buy fuel on the way home at 6.30
p.m, and had selected three places selling Premium 98. This retailer’s price
reliable as advertised Firstly, Metro Petroleum Bathurst – 45 Bant Street Bathurst
2795 @$1.449, bought $10.00 there and the price was correct. Next, went to
Lithgow Woolworths Caltex, Cnr Lithgow Street and Mort Street, Lithgow 2790, and
the price for Premium 98 was $1.609, price was twenty cents higher than the fuel
check price and took a photo of it at around 7.30 p.m. Thirdly, went to BP on the
Great Western Highway and its price was the same at 7.35 p.m. as the Fuel check
price at 4.00 p.m. at $1.449, I filled my tank since I was back in my home town.

Would be good to make it easier to find fuel price between two locations when on a
trip. Alteratively increase the number of listed cheapest fuel to maybe 100 to find
locations on route. Thanks.
Price on the app today (20 Mar) was not the price at the outlet. There are
several service stations in that town that did not appear on the app - this also in
my home region - postcode 2154. Consequence is that it is misleading and by
following the app I paid 2c /l more on a tank of 125.07l. (Tank capacity 150l)
Checked the price and went to a BP station offering cheaper but a bit of driving.
Only to find out the station is Closed for renovation etc. checked again to the
next cheapest station to find out the price was not the same but was but expensive
than what the app suggested. Disappointed.
I reported a price mismatch today, as I was falsely led to believe that so called
prime at Homer st Earlwood was cheap. They have changed the name of the service
station and are thinking they get away with luring people there on false pretences.
So sick of it. Do something about it. Give them a hefty fine!!! Enough is
enough!!!!!
