• Enabled students to participate in contests such as Jr VASE, Rodeo Student Art Contest, Edward Gorey
Envelope Art Contest and Dr. Mari Jon Filla Art Contest.
•Rodeo Art Contest- Best of Show Alief, Displayed at Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo
•Rodeo Quick Draw Contest- Accepted & Participated, Student received a scholarship to the Glassel
School of Art for a class.
•Edward Gorey Envelope Art Contest- Finalist in an international contest, Artwork was displayed in the
museum’s gallery in Yarmouth Port, MA.
•JR VASE- 10 students traveled to JR VASE with 17 entries. Students interviewed with judges and gave
thoughtful responses about their artwork. 11 entries and 9 students received at least one IV rating and
received a medal.
• Facilitated a team of ten students to fundraise, develop and sell the 2017-2018 yearbook.
• Developed 7th and 8th Grade boys and girls tennis skills as volunteer coach (2017) and head coach (2018).
Students were able to build a foundation of tennis skills and compete in matches and a tournament each year.
