     Information on how the MEP Design Supply Chain operates in the US?

     Is there a market for a professional management MEP in terms of Design, BIM, Lean,
    Project Management and Scheduling?

     Vertical Farming Experience if any? MEP related

     We would like to get a better understanding of how the construction industry in Canada
    works & if the speakers have any ideas on how best Irish companies could enter the
    market.

     Our main area of interest is to get a better understanding of the specialist MEP market
    on the East Coast with respect to the Data Centre & Pharma/Bio markets.

     Is there anticipated growth in these markets?

     Is the market well served by current specialist contractors?

     Are these markets focused around specific geographical locations on the East Coast
    and Mid West?

     Are the specialist contractors currently serving these markets national or regional
    contractors?

     What is the procurement process relating to these markets, ie Client driven, PMC lead or
    via the General Contractor supply chain.

     How to develop a distribution model for a standard architectural fitting within the United
    States.

     Insights on growth, Energy regulation and legislation,


    Manufacturing/ UL approval, LEED, etc

     We would be interested to keep abreast of emerging trends of construction markets, in


    particular the move towards ‘modular build’ or ‘off-site’ construction in North America.

     Possible opportunities of partnering with US & Canadian engineering companies on their


    European projects

     General barriers to entry into US & Canadian markets through acquisition or


    partnerships.

     Logistics of getting goods there – especially project type cargo


     Implications of staff working there (VISA’s etc.)
     Understanding of differences between states – how are they governed? Understanding
    VAT implications if we engage local companies as sub- contractors and/or consultants
     General understanding of construction industry – codes of practice etc. If we need
    design assistance in changing calculations from metric to imperial or designing to US
    standards are there recommended consultants we could use
     Understanding of contract law – how aggressive is the construction industry in the North
    American market

     We operate in the hospitality and high end residential Fit Out sector so any market info
    specific to this niche in construction would be helpful. Any information on tariffs for
    importing materials to the US market would also be useful.
