Sayyida Fatima Zahra (pbuh).

“Allah forgives the sins of one who recites Tasbee
of Fatima (pbuh) ending it with La Ilaaha Illallah
after every Salaa” Imam Sadiq (pbuh)

“The Tasbee of Fatima (pbuh) after every wajib

salaa is more loved than praying 1,000 rakats
every day.”Imam Sadiq (pbuh)

“Whoever does the Tasbee of Fatima (pbuh)

before he/she unfolds his/her legs (from the
position of sitting) in wajib salaa; Allah forgives
his/her sins him and makes Janna wajib”

 DUA AFTER FAJR SALAA

ُّ ْ ‫ح منّ ال َر ّحي‬
‫م‬ ّ ‫بّس ّم ا‬
ُ ْ ‫هلل ال َر‬ ْ
In the name of Allah, the Kind, the Merciful

ُ‫اهلل ع َ مل ُُم َ َم ٍد َو اُ مل ّ ّه‬ َ‫ّ ّ ص‬

ُ ‫بّ ْسم اهلل َو َ ُل‬
In the name of Allah, may Allah bless Muhammad
and his family

‫َو اُفَ ّو ُض ا َ ْم ّرى اّ ََل اهلل‬

I entrust my affairs to Allah

ُ‫اّ َن اهللَب َ ّص ْْيٌ بّالْعّبَا ّد‬

Surely Allah is aware of (His) servants (40:44)

ّ َ ‫فَوقَ ُاه اهلل سيّئ‬

‫ات َما َمك َُر ْوا‬ َُ َ
Then Allah protected him (His Prophet) from the
evil they planned (40:45)

َ َ ‫آلاّلُ م َه اّلَا َن ْ َت ُسب ْ َحان‬
َ ْ ّ ‫الظا ِل‬
ُ‫ي‬ َ ُ
There is no god but You, Glory be to You, I am
from the transgressors,

ُ‫است َ َجبْنَا ل َ ُه َو َنَيْن َ ُاه ّم َن الْغ َ ّم‬

ْ َ‫ف‬
So We answered him (Prophet Yunus) and
removed his sorrow.

ّّ ‫َو كَ َذال ّ َ نن‬

َ ْ ‫ك ُ ُ ْ ِّج ا ِْلُ ْؤمن‬
ُ‫ي‬
Thus do we rescue the believers (21:87-8)

ُ‫اهلل َو نّعْ َم ال َْو ّكي ْ ُل‬

ُ ‫َح ْسبُنَا‬
Allah is enough for us and He is the best of
Guardians

ّ ‫فَانْقَلَبوا بّ ّنعْم ٍة ّم َن ا‬
ُ‫هلل َو فَ ْض ٍل ل َ ْم ََيْ َس ْس ُه ْم‬ َ ُْ
So they returned (from Jihad) with the Blessings
of Allah and by His Grace no evil having touched
them (3:172-3)

 ّ ‫وء َما َشآء اهلل ل َ َحول َول َ ُق َوةَ اّلَبّا‬
ُ‫هلل‬ َ ْ ُ َ ٌ ‫ُس‬
Whatever Allah wills [happens] there is no power
nor strength except with Allah

ُ‫اس‬
ُ َ‫اهلل ل َ َما َشآءَ الن‬
ُ َ‫َما َشآء‬
What Allah wills [happens] not what the people
will

ّ ‫ما َشآء‬
ُ َ‫اهلل َو ان ْ َك ّر َه الن‬
ُ‫اس‬ ُ َ َ
What Allah wills [happens] even if the people
dislike it.

ّ ّ‫حسب‬
َ ْ ّ‫َ ْ َي ال َر ُب م َن ا ِْل َ ْر ُب ْوب‬
ُ‫ي‬
Sufficient for me is the Lord and Nurturer rather
than the nurtured

َُ ‫َح ْسبّ َي اْلَْال ّ ُق ّم‬

َُ ْ ّ‫ن ا ِْل َ ْخل ُ ْوق‬
‫ي‬
Sufficient for me is the Creator rather than the
created

َ ْ ‫َ ْ َي ال َرا ّز ُق م َن ا ِْل َ ْر ُز ْوق‬
ُ‫ي‬
Sufficient for me is the Provider rather than those
who are provided

ّ‫حسب‬
َ ْ ّ ‫اهلل َر ُب الْعَا َِل‬
ُ‫ي‬ ُ ‫َ ْ َي‬
Sufficient for me is Allah, Lord of the Worlds

ُ‫َح ْسبّ ْي َم ْن ُه َو َح ْسبّ ْي‬

For me He is sufficient, who is indeed is sufficient
for me

ُْ ‫َح ْسبّ ْي َم‬

‫ن ل َ ْم ي َ َز ْل َح ْسبّ ُْي‬
For me He is sufficient, who has always been
sufficient for me

ُ‫ان ُم ْذ ُكن ْ ُت ل َ ْم ي َ َز ْل َح ْس ُبّ ْي‬ ُْ ‫َح ْسبّ ْي َم‬

َ َ‫نك‬
For me He is sufficient, Who has been sufficient
for me since my creation

Sufficient for me is Allah, there is no god but He

ُ‫عَلَي ْ ّه تَ َو ُكَل ْ ُت َو ُه َو َر ُب الْعَ ْر ّش الْعَ ّظي ْ ُم‬

On Him I rely and He is the Lord of the High
throne.

ُ ْ ‫هلل ال َر‬ ْ
In the name of Allah the Kind, the Merciful

ُ‫اهلل الْعَ ّظي ْ ُم ا ْْلَلّي ْ ُم‬ َ ّ ّ

ُ ‫آل الُ م َه ال‬
There is no god but Allah the Mighty, the
Forbearing

ُ‫اهلل َر ُب الْعَ ْر ّش ال ْ َك ّري ْ ُم‬ َ ّ ّ

ُ ‫آل الُ م َه ال‬
There is no God but Allah the Lord of the Great
Throne

ُّ ٰ ّ ُ‫ا َ ْْل َ ْم ُد‬

َُ ْ ّ ‫لِل َر ّب الْعَا َِل‬
‫ي‬
Praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds

َ ّ ‫حت‬ ّ ‫ك مو ّجب‬ ّ
ُ‫ك‬ َ ْ ‫ات َر‬َ ْ ُ َ ُ ‫اَل ُل ٰ ُه َمُ ا ّّن ا َْسئَل‬
O Allah I seek the causes of your Mercy

 َ ّ‫َو عَ َز ّائ َم َمغ ْ ّف َرت‬
ُ‫ك‬
And the resolve to earn Your forgiveness

ُ‫َو الْغ َ ّني ْ َمةَ ّم ْن كُ ّل بّ ٍر‬

And the gaining of every virtue

ُ‫السال َ َمةَ ّم ْن كُ ّل اّث ٍْم‬

َ ‫َو‬
And safety from every sin.

ُ‫اَل ُل ٰ ُه َم ل َتَ َد ْع َّل ذَنْبًا اّلَ َغ َف ْرتَ ُه‬

O Allah do not leave any of my sins unforgiven

ُ‫ َول َ ُسقْ ًما اّلَ َش َفيْت َ ُه‬,‫ها اّلَفَ َر ْجت َ ُه‬

ً َ َ ‫َول‬
Nor any grief unremoved, nor any sickness
uncured.

 ‫ َول َ ّرزْ ُق ًا اّلَ ب َ َس ْ ُطت َ ُُه‬,‫َول َعَيْبًا اّلَ َس ََتْتَ ُه‬
Nor any fault unhidden, nor any livelihood
unincreased

ُ‫ َول َ ُس ْوءًاّلَ َص َرفْت َ ُه‬,‫َول َ َخ ْوفًا اّ ُلَُ ُا م ُمَنْت َ ُه‬

Nor any fear unprotected, nor any evil un repelled

َ َ ‫اجةً ّه َي ل‬
‫ك ّر ًضا‬ َ ‫َول َ َح‬
Nor any wish which you are pleased with

‫َو ِّل َفّيْهَا َصال َ ٌح اّلَقَ َضيْتَهَا‬

And which is good for me, unanswered

ّّ
َ ْ ‫يَا ا َْر َح َم ال َراح‬
ُ‫ي‬
O most Merciful

َُ ْ ّ ‫ي َر َب الْعَا َِل‬
‫ي‬ ّ
َ ْ ‫ُا مم‬
Ameen, Lord of the worlds.

ُ‫ح منّ ال َر ّحي ْ ّم‬ ّ ‫بّس ّم ا‬

ُ ْ ‫هلل ال َر‬ ْ
In the name of Allah the Kind, the Merciful

ُ‫ك ّم ْن ن َ ْف ٍس لَ تَ ْشب َ ُع‬

َ ّ‫اَل ُل ٰ ُه َم اّ ّّن ْا َ ُع ْو ُذ ب‬
O Allah! I seek refuge in You from the soul which
is not satisfied

ُ‫َو ّم ْن قَل ْ ٍب لَ ََي ْ َش ُع‬

And the heart which does not fear

ُ‫َو ّم ْن عّل ْ ٍم لَيَن ْ َف ُع‬

And the knowledge which does not benefit

ُ‫َو ّم ْن َصلَو ٍة لَ ُت ْرفَ ُع‬

And the prayer which does not rise

 ُ‫َو ّم ْن ُدعَآءٍ لَيُ ْس َم ُع‬
And the dua which is not answered

َ ُ ‫اَل ُل ٰ ُه َم اّ ّّن ْا َْساَل‬

ُ‫ك الُ ْيُ ْس َر بَعْ َد ا ُلع ْس ّر‬
O Allah! I ask you for ease after difficulty

‫الشد َّة‬
ّ ‫و ال ْ َف َُر َج بَعْ َد الْك َْر ّب و ال َر َخآءَ بَعْ َد‬
َ َ
For relief after grief and comfort after distress

َ ْ ‫اَل ُل ٰ ُه َم َما بّنَا ّم ْن نّعْ َم ٍة فَ ّمن‬

ُ‫ك‬
O Allah! We have no blessing but from You

َ ‫آل اّلُ م َه اّلَا َن ْ َت ا َ ْستَغ ْ ّف ُر‬

َ ْ ‫ك َو ا َ ُت ْو ُب اّلَي‬
ُ‫ك‬
There is no God but You. I seek Your forgiveness
and turn to You.

ُ ْ ‫هلل ال َر‬ ْ
In the name of Allah the Kind, the Merciful

َ ّ ‫حت‬ ّ ‫ك مو ّجب‬ ّ
ُ‫ك‬ َ ْ ‫ات َر‬َ ْ ُ َ ُ ‫اَل ُل ٰ ُه َمُ ا ّّن ا َْسئَل‬
O Allah I see the causes of Your Mercy

َ ّ‫َو عَ َز ّائ َم َمغ ْ ّف َرت‬

ُ‫ك‬

And Your pleasure in the land of peace

َ ‫ك ُُم َ َم ٍد عَلَي ْ ّه َو ُا مل ّ ّه‬

ُ‫السال َ ُم‬ َ ّ‫َو َج َوا ّر ُن َبّي‬
And the neighbourhood of Your Prophet
Muhammad peace be on him and his family.

َ ْ ‫اَل ُل ٰ ُه َم َما بّنَا ّم ْن نّعْ َم ٍة فَ ّمن‬

ُ‫ك‬
O Allah! We have no blessing but from You

َ ‫آل اّلُ م َه اّلَا َن ْ َت ا َ ْستَغ ْ ّف ُر‬

َ ْ ‫ك َو ا َ ُت ْو ُب اّلَي‬

There is no God but You and I seek your
forgiveness and I turn to You.

ُ‫ح منّ ال َر ّحي ْ ّم‬ ّ ‫بّس ّم ا‬

ُ ْ ‫هلل ال َر‬ ْ
In the name of Allah the Kind, the Merciful

‫ُا َللُ ٰ ُه َمُ اّن َ ُه لَي ْ َس َّل عّل ْ ٌم ِّبَ ْو ّض ّع ّرزْ ّ ُق‬
O Allah I have no knowledge of the sources of my
livelihood

ُ‫ات ََتْ ُط ُر عَلَ قَلْبّ ْي‬

ٍ ‫و اّ َّنا ا َْطلُب ُه ِّب َ َط َر‬
ُ َ َ
And I search for it by the thoughts that spring in
my heart

ّ
َ ‫فَا َ ُج ْو ُل ِّف َطلَبّه ال ُْب ُل ْ َد‬
ُ‫ان‬
So I wander in search for it

ُّ‫فَاَنَافّي ْ َما ا َنَا َطال ّ ٌب كَا ْْل َ ْْيَان‬

Through the cities like a confused traveller

 ُ‫ل َا َدْ ّر ْي ا َِّف َسهْ ٍل ُه َو ا َْم ِّف َجب َ ٍل‬
I do not know whether it is on the plains or on the
mountains

‫ا َْم ِّف ا َْر ٍض ا َْم ِّف ََسَآ ٍُء‬

Under the ground or in the sky

‫ا َْم ِّف ب َ ٍُر ا َْم ِّف ََبْ ٍُر‬

On land or on seas

ُ‫َوع َ م ُل ي َ َد ْي َم ْن َو ّم ْن قّب َ ّل َم ْن‬

Or in whose hands and from whose hand I shall
obtain it

َ ‫َو قَ ْد عَلّ ْم ُت ا ََن عّل ْ َم ُه ّعن ْ َد‬

ُ‫ك‬
And I know that its knowledge is with You

ُ‫ك‬
And its sources are in your Hands

َ ‫ت ُال َ ّذ ْي تَقْ ّس ُم ُه بّل ُ ْط ّف‬

ُ‫ك‬ َ ْ ‫َو ا َن‬
And You are the one who distributes it by your
Grace

َ ّ ‫حت‬
ُ‫ك‬ َ ْ ‫َو ُت َسبّب ُ ُه بّ َر‬
And make it possible through your Mercy

ُ‫اَل ُل ٰ ُه َم فَ َصلُّي ع َ ملُ ُُم َ َم ٍد َو اُ مل ّ ّه‬

O Allah then send blessings on Muhammad and
his family

‫ك َّل َوا ّسعًا‬

َ َ‫ار ّب ّرزْق‬
َ َ ‫َو ا ْجعَ ْل ي‬
And O my Lord, increase my livelihood

 ‫َو َم ْطلَب َ ُه َسهْال ً َو َما َخ َذ ُه قَ ّريْبًا‬
And help me obtain it with ease and make it
within close reach

‫َو ل َ ُتعَ ّن ِّن بّ َطل َ ّب َما ل َ ْم ُتقَ ّد ْر َّل فّي ْ ّه ّرزْ ُق ًا‬
And let me not search for it where You have not
destined it for me

‫ك‬ َ ْ ‫ِن عَ ْن ع َ َذ ّاِب ْ َو ا َنَا فَقّ ْْيٌ ُاّ م َُل َر‬

ُ َ ّ ‫حت‬ ّ َ َ ‫فَاّن‬
ٌ َ‫ك غ‬
Surely You are too generous to punish me and I
am in need of Your mercy

ُ‫ص ّل ع َ ملُ ُ ُُم َ َم ٍد َو اُ مل ّ ّه‬

ُ َ َ‫ف‬
So send blessings on Muhammad and his family

َ ّ‫ك بّ َف ْضل‬
ُ‫ك‬ َ ‫َو ُج ْد ع َ م ُل عَب ْ ّد‬
And be generous to Your servant by Your grace

‫هلل ل َاُّل م َه اّلَ ُه َو ا ْْل َ ُي الْقَي ُ ْو ُُم‬
‫ُا َ ُ‬
‫أخ ُذ ُه ّسن َ ٌة َو ل َن َ ْو ٌم‬
‫ل َت َ ُ‬
‫ات َو َما ِّف ْال َ ْر ّ ُ‬ ‫السما و ّ‬
‫ض‬ ‫ل َ ُه َما ِّف َ َ َ‬
‫َم ْن ذَا ُال َ ُّذ ْي ي َ ْش َف ُع ّعن ْ َد ُه اّلَبّاّذْ ّن ُّه‬
‫ي ا َي ْ ّدي ْ ّه ْم َو َما َخل ْ َف ُه ْم َول َ ُُيّي ْ ُط ْو َن ُبّش َْي ُءٍ ّم ْن‬
‫يَعْل َ ُم َما ب َ ْ َ‬
‫السماو ّ‬ ‫ّ‬ ‫ّ‬ ‫ّ ّ ّ ّ َّ‬
‫ات َو ْال َ ْر َ ُ‬
‫ض‬ ‫علْمه ال ِبَا َشآءَ َوس َُع ُك ْرسي ُ ُه َ َ َ‬
‫َو ل َي َ ُؤ ْو ُد ُه ّح ْف ُظ ُه َما َو ُه َو الْعَلّ ُي الْعَ ّظي ْ ُُ‬
‫م‬
‫‪Allah is He besides Whom there is no god, the‬‬
‫;‪Everliving, the Self-subsisting by Whom all subsist‬‬
‫;‪slumber does not overtake Him nor sleep‬‬
‫‪whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the‬‬

 earth is His; who is he that can intercede with Him
but by His permission? He knows what is before
them and what is behind them, and they cannot
comprehend anything out of His knowledge
except what He pleases, His knowledge extends
over the heavens and the earth, and the
preservation of them both tires Him not, and He is
the Most High, the Great.

‫ي ال ُر ْش ُد ّم َن الْغ َ ّي فَ َم ْن يَ ْك ُف ْر‬ ّ ّ
َ َ َ ‫ل َاك َْر َاه ِّف الديْنّ قَ ْد تَب‬
‫ك بّال ْ ُع ْر َو ّة ال ُْوثْ ُق مي‬ ّ ‫الطا ُغو ّت و يُ ْؤ ّم ْن بّا‬
َ ‫هلل فَقَ ّد ْاس ُت َ ْم َس‬ َ ْ َ ّ‫ب‬
ُّ َ ‫اهلل‬
ُ‫َس ٌع عَلّي ْ ٌم‬ ُ ‫ام ََلَا َو‬
ّ
َ ‫ل َانْف َص‬
There is no compulsion in religion; truly the right
way has become clearly distinct from error;
therefore, whoever disbelieves in the Shaitan and
believes in Allah he indeed has laid hold on the
firmest handle, which shall not break off, and
Allah is Hearing, Knowing.

َ ُ ‫هللُ َو ِّل ُالَذي ْ َن اُ م َمنُ ْوا َُيُ ْ ّر ُج ُه ْم م َن‬
ُ َ ‫ُا‬
‫الطا ُغ ْو ُت َُيْر ُّج ْو ََنُم ّم َن النُ ْو ّر‬ َ ‫ال َ ّذي ْ َن كَ َف ُر ْوا ا َْولّيآ ُؤ ُهم‬
ُ َ
ُ ّ ‫الظل ُ َم‬
‫ات‬ ُ ‫اّ ََل‬
‫اب النَا ّر ُه ْم فّي ْ ّها َخال ّ ُد ْو َُن‬
ُ ‫ك ا َْص َح‬ َ ّ‫اُ ْولَئ‬
Allah is the guardian of those who believe. He
brings them out of the darkness into the light; and
(as to) those who disbelieve, their guardians are
Shaitans who take them out of the light into the
darkness; they are the inmates of the fire, in it
they shall abide.

ُّ ْ ‫هلل ال َر ْحُ م ّن ال َر ّحي‬

‫م‬ ّ ‫بّس ّم ا‬

‫اهلل ا َن َ ُه آل اُّل م َه اّلَ ُه َو َو ا ِْلَآل ّئ َك ُة‬
ُ ‫َش ّه َد‬
ُ ّ ‫َو اُ ْول ُ ْوا الْعّل ْ ّم ُقَآ ّئ ًما بّالْقّ ْس‬
‫ط‬
ُُ ْ ‫ُل َاُّل م َه اّلَ ُه َو الْعَزّي ْ ُز ا ْْل َ ّكي‬
‫م‬
Allah bears witness that there is no god but He,
and (so do) the angels and those possessed of
knowledge, maintaining His creation with justice;
there is no god but He, the Mighty, the Wise.

Surely the (true) religion with Allah is Islam, and
those to whom the Book had been given did not
show opposition but after knowledge had come to
them, out of envy among themselves; and
whoever disbelieves in the communications of
Allah then surely Allah is quick in reckoning.

Say: O Allah, Master of the Kingdom! You give the
kingdom to whomsoever You please and take
away the kingdom from whomsoever You please,
and You exalt whom You please and abase whom
You please in Your hand is the good; surely, You
have power over all things.

The messenger believes in what has been
revealed to him from his Lord, and (so do) the
believers; they all believe in Allah and His angels
and His books and His messengers; We make no
difference between any of His messengers; and
they say: We hear and obey, our Lord! Thy
forgiveness (do we crave), and to Thee is the
eventual course.

Allah does not impose upon any soul a duty but to
the extent of its ability; for it is (the benefit of)
what it has earned and upon it (the evil of) what it
has wrought: Our Lord! do not punish us if we
forget or make a mistake; Our Lord! do not lay on
us a burden as You did lay on those before us, Our
Lord do not impose upon us that which we have
not the strength to bear; and pardon us and grant
us protection and have mercy on us, You are our
Patron, so help us against the unbelieving people.

Extract from “Selected Sayings” by Ayatullah

Khomieni (A.R.)
“My Shaykh would ask me to recite the last verses
of Suratul Hashr (59:18-24) after daily prayers and
to contemplate over their meaning, especially in
the late hours of night when the heart is relaxed.
He said that it was very effective for curing the
soul and for holding the mischief of the self and
Shaytan at bay. He would recommend us to be
with wudhu all the time, for, he would say, it is
like a warrior’s armour.”

In the name of Allah the Kind, the Merciful

‫ت لّغ َ ٍد‬

18. O you who believe! Be careful of (your duty
to) Allah, and let every soul consider what it has

19. And be not like those who forsook Allah, so He
made them forsake their own souls: these it is

20. Not alike are the inmates of the fire and the
dwellers of the garden: the dwellers of the
garden are they that are the achievers.

 DUA FARAJ

It is reported in the book ‘Kumuz ul Najat’ by

Shaikh Fazil bin Hasan Tabrisi, that a man called
Abul Hasan Muhammad bin Abul Laith was at one
time hiding in a graveyard in Baghdad out of fear
for his life.
Imam taught him this duas which saved his life.
He said that when the phrase – Ya Sahibuz Zaman
was recited – Imam pointed to himself which not
only proved his identity but indicated that our
minds should be directed towards Imam when we
recite it.

we call upon You for help, we direct our complain

 THE DAY OF JUMUA’

Recite Suratul Jumua’ in the first rakat of Fajr

salaa and Suratul Ikhlas in the second.
Recite Suratur Rahmaan after the ta’qibaat of
Salatul Fajr.
Recite salawat 100x
Recite Suratul Ikhlas 100x
Recite Suratul Ahqaaf and Suratul Mu’minoon
after Salatul Fajr.
Recite Ayatul Kursi as many times as possible
from Fajr to Dhuhr.
Do ghusl of Jumu’a . It is recommended to do
ghusl between Fajr and Dhuhr
Cut nails, trim hair, wear neat clean clothes
and apply perfume.
Eat a pomegranate for breakfast if possible.
Utilise time in learning about religion after
Salatul Jumua’
Visit the graves of relations and mu’mineen.
Recite Dua An-Nudba
Do Istighfaar after Salatul ‘Asr 70x

 SALATUT TAHAJJUD (SHAB)

It consists of a total of 11 raka’ts, divided into the

following prayers:
1. Nafilah of Layl: 8 rakats (4 x 2 rakats)
2. Salatush Shafa: 2 rakats
3. Salat ul Witr: 1 rakat

The time for Salatut Tahajjud begins after

midnight until the time for Salatul Fajr (morning
prayers). The best time for it is just before Fajr
Salaa. Salatut Tahajjud is so important that even if
you cannot recite all 11 rakats, then recite only
one rakat of Salatul Witr.

Method
1. Nafilah of Layl
The 8 rakats of Nafilah are divided into four units
of two rakats each, just like Salatul Fajr but with
the niyya of Salatul Layl. It is recommended to
recite Suratul Kafirun after Suratul Fatiha in the
first 2 rakats. In the other six recite any small sura
or even leave out the sura after Suratul Fatiha. For
Qunoot you can recite salawat or the
recommended duas.

 2. Salat al-Shafa
Two rakats with Suratun Naas in the first rakat
after Suratul Fatiha and Suratul Falaq in the
second rakat after Suratul Fatiha. There is no
qunoot in Salatus Shafa.

3. Salatul Witr
One rakat with Suratul Ikhlas 3x, Suratul Falaq 1x,
and Suratun Naas 1x after Suratul Fatiha. Then
raise your hands for qunoot and recite: (You can
hold a book and/or tasbee in a mustahab salaa)

 SALATUL WAHSHAT

“A dead person does not bear greater hardships in

his grave at any time than the first night.”
Prophet Muhammad (pbuh)

On the day of burial it is recommended to give

sadaqa, asking for rahma (mercy) for the marhum.
In addition as a gift, one should pray Salatul
Wahshat if one is a near relation or Salatul Hadiya
Mayyit with the niyya of pleasing Allah and
seeking forgiveness for the dead person.

Wahshat means loneliness and anxiety. This salaa

can be recited at any time during the first part of
the night of burial, but it is better to pray it at the
beginning of the night after Isha salaa.
It consists of 2 rakaats.
In the 1st rakaat after Suratul Hamd recite Ayatul
Kursi (2:522)
In the 2nd rakaat after Suratul Hamd recite 10x
Suratul Qadr

 HADIYA MAYYIT

Hadiya Mayyit means a gift to the mayyit. The

salaa consists of 2 rakaats.

After completing the salaa, ask Allah to send the
thawabs of the salaa to the grave of the marhum.

and gave a movement to the index finger in his

O The Sublime and The Distinguished,
O The Bountiful and The Magnanimous,

It is the month in which You have made fasting
obligatory on me, and it is the month of
Ramadhan, in which You sent down the Qur'an, a
guidance for mankind, having clear signs of
guidance and distinction. (2:185)
