o Will be given 2 minutes to come up with as many ideas as possible
by themselves and then when the teacher says so, they can try
come up with ideas in small groups
o After everyone has made at least one post each on the Padlet, the
teacher will facilitate a class discussion where everyone will talk
about the ideas they posted to the class Padlet about what Jesus
taught
o Make sure the discussion involves Jesus’ appreciation of God’s
creation, specifically the birds and the flowers
 “What beauty in Australian birds and flowers might Jesus
have especially enjoyed if he had lived in Australia? ”

- Explain the task for the lesson
o Students will be creating a class book on Book Creator called
‘Jesus Helps People Appreciate the Beauty in Creation’
o Each student will write a small prayer on paper giving thanks to
God for the beauty in creation, specifically referencing the beauty
of the birds and flowers Templates for written prayers
 Students will be given a template with about 6 lines to (Appendix 2)
right on Teacher iPad
 Before starting the teacher will also ask the students for a Resource sheet 1 (Appendix3)
few suggestions of ways to start and end a prayer, and
give some of their own examples to give more variety if
needed:
 Refer to Resource Sheet 1 (Beautiful World,

o The teacher will go around and get the students to create a page in
the class prayer book that will include:
 Their name
 A small photo of themselves in the corner
 A voice recording of their prayer
 Photos of nature or drawings done with a stylus (this will
be completed after the first three things on individual
iPads and then airdropped to the main iPad with the class
book creator)

- Start discussion about everyone’s prayers
o Ask students to share some things they mentioned in their prayers Interactive Whiteboard
