This year has luckily been the most special year of my life. As I could never have thought that I would end
up being a part of one of the historical year of the most unique and earliest established institutions of
Mhow. I’m talking about the Rajeshwar Higher Secondary School. This year has been the 125 th jubilant
year of this strongly built institution which must have been an amazing journey. You can’t have any idea
about how many struggles it has been through, how many prodigies it has made through, how many smiles
it has spread through, how many master mind employees it has given through. How many minds it has
given the power of knowledge and so much more over this whole century. I can’t or I don’t know if even
the students here could be able to put it in words how grateful, lucky and honoured they feel to get their
education from here and construct a strong base of their life. Teachers here have played a major role in
maintaining and balancing the curriculum and decency of this school. The fathers and sisters which have
been given astonishing opportunity to become principal of this great institution have done their part so
significantly and magnificently that they would never be forgotten. Each and every principal has worked
so hard for this school. Every time a principal took charge, they brought something new and more
knowledgeable with them to dedicate it to the school and the students here.
This quasquicentennial year has been special in many ways. This year marked many events, functions,
celebrations, anniversaries, foundation day of our school, competitions, sports events and many more. All
these things which took place in this year had made it the most memorable year. This is the year in which
we has so many dignitaries amongst us in which most of them were the ex -students of our school itself.
This is the year in which students were gifted by a canteen and a new library. The canteen which has
already thrilled our students and new modified version of our library has left them all fascinated.
Even our parents played a pivoted hole in making this year a success. As we all know this is the year in
which we had our marvelously grand intricately planned Annual function, we can’t explain how precious
those moments of that particular evening were. Each and every individual rejoiced and so captivated by
the performances of all the students. Even the students and our kids of junior section enjoyed while
performing on stage. There were many types of dance styles and singing performances which made
everyone wallow in amazement. Even the chief guests and guests of honour were mesmerized.
We celebrated the 25 th anniversaries of our teachers who have keenly devoted so many years in this school
for its success and students bright future and they’re none other than our delight Arthur sir, our ardent
Prabhat sir, warm hearted Simmi ma’am and caring Rosy ma’am.
After this we had another precious moment when we pedantically admired the inspiring words of our most
humble principal Fr. Jolichan PJ, the principal of our school.
I’m so thankful to have such an experience and to be part of the Rajeshwar family on this jubiliant
occasion.

It’s all about will, not the skill. We all know that everyone is talented. That is a theoretical fact but
practically proven in a research paper. Through various activities, a person comes to know about his hidden
potential- Talent. It is something wonderful we all have but are not aware of it. It may be sports, drawing,
playing a musical instrument or writing. Some people discover this almost instantly, others do not realize it at
all or realize it late, either way everyone is talented at something.
Now the point comes how to reveal that talent. The best option is to know yourself better.
Understanding your unique talent gives you answers to these questions. Your unique talents shows you why you
make certain choices, enjoy certain activities and are better at something than others. Far than, find out what
thrilled you as a child and when you always lost track of time while doing that activity. Maybe it’s playing a
guitar or gardening or writing a story.
Try your hands at various things as much as possible and a time will definitely come, when your winner
voice will say “I want more”, that will be the moment when you would have discovered your hidden talent.
When you discover your talent, put efforts and devote time for it. Think for yourself, decide for yourself
and choose a mentor wisely.
Education and Social Media
Parul Verma
Class : VII A
Education is the backbone of our life that helps us to face and defeat obstacles. It not only helps
overcome our agony but also acts as a determinant factor behind achieving our ambitions. It makes a person
autonomous, audacious and agile. If a person faces a setback, then only his education will be acting as a
protagonist to help him out of that. Nowadays, the use of social media is on boom. It is a flaring topic which is
discussed every now and them. Today, off and on things are happening paradoxically, that is the noxious effects
of social media. Man created technology to upgrade himself but currently social media has started overpowering
man’s mind. Social media is immensely beneficial if used responsibly vigilantly but we are taking it as granted
and following it like a puppet. Social media is an impeccable gift to humans which brings about refreshment in
one’s life. It allows a person to be liberal and to inculcate qualities in himself and this is the fork where
education is required for making wise decisions and for a wide and comfortable future. So, amalgamate
education and social media wisely which will revolutionize everyday of your life into a red letter day.

Sometimes you have to be strong for yourself. You have to know that you’re a good person and a good
friend. What is meant to be will end up good and what is not won’t. Love is worth fighting for but sometimes
you can’t be the only one fighting. At times, people need to fight for you. If they don’t you just have to move on
and realize what you gave them was more, then hopefully, when people realize and eventually they come
around. Always fight, until you can’t anymore. “Be a good person but don’t waste time to prove it”.
“Child Labour”
Dhruv Rathod
Class : VIII B
The problem of child labour is quite rampant in all parts of India. In spite of enforcement of many anti-
child labour laws, the problem still exists. The adverse affect of this problem affects the growth, development
and progress of our nation.
Not only millions of children below the age of 14 are working in factories, shops, glass-blowing industry,
workshops etc. they are forced to work in the most unhygienic work conditions. According to sensus data, there
are 82 lakh child labourers (aged between 5-14 years) in India. Our country needs more and more skilled
manpower to achieve the objectives of growth, development and advancement. With such a huge number of
children employed in menial jobs, without education, how can India achieve her goals?
Unless the government deals with a iron hand, this problem is going to spoil the lives of millions of
children.
Natural Environment

The natural environment encompasses all living and non living things occurring naturally on earth or some
region thereof. It is an environment that encompasses interaction of all living species. Climate, weather, and
natural resources that effect human survival and economic activity. The concept of the natural environment can
be distinguished by these components.
Complete ecological units that function as natural systems without massive civilized human intervention,
including all vegetation, microorganism, soil, rocks, atmosphere are natural phenomena that occur within their
boundaries and their nature.
Universal natural resources and physical phenomena that lack clear–cut boundaries, such as air, water
and climate, as well as energy, radiation, electric charge and magnetism, not originating from civilized human
activity.

Coming together is the beginning, keeping together is progress, working together is success.” School can
become a temple of learning only when the student, the guardian, and the society, in harmony, endeavor to
make it a place of pursuit for education, a sadhana; where the spring of punctuality, sanctity and thrust for
knowledge flows.
Being a student for 14 long years in Rajeshwar Higher Secondary school I can assuredly say that it is the best
institution to be in. An institution full of guidance & opportunities, it’s an honor and privilege for me to be the
Head Boy of this great institution. It is the confluence of well educated ‘guiding-lights’ – the teachers, who burn
themselves through their hard work.
First of all I would like to thank the mighty God for showering his blessings upon me and of course our
respected principal and teachers for having faith & support in me. Being the Head Boy is not about the position
or title but it is about action and example which can make a difference. I stand here as a leader not just to lead
all but to work in collaboration with each one, to achieve the best for our school.
The year revealed many positive changes. Our new principal Father Jolichan brought with him a fresh approach
into leading the school to a principal of success.
In the beginning when this responsibility was given to me I had felt that it was quite a difficult job to
be performed. But very soon I realized that it was not so. It was a great fun doing so.
As a head boy, my only goal is to prove myself as a positive role model in this school.
Worship on a Life saving Technique-CPR
Christy P. Jubi
Class : XI A
DR. RAHUL MEWARA along with his wife MRS.MEWARA and other doctors conducted a workshop about
giving CPR. The counseling started with the importance of giving CPR to persons who suddenly collapse or
have a sudden stroke which occurs due to any cardiac problems. They also made us aware that it would save the
life of a person if we knew the right way of giving CPR. One of his colleagues gave a demonstration by
experimenting on a dummy. Thus giving us a clear picture about CPR. They informed us that a sudden cardiac
arrest can occur to anyone around us and it is not necessary that a hospital should be nearby. They told us that
we should first check the pulse of the person who has gone through a cardiac arrest and if it is low, then we
should get the patient to lie down in a proper position so that it would become easy for us to give CPR. CPR can
be given in two ways either mouth to mouth respiration or by pressing his chest with a proper pressure, which
would help in regaining his pulse count and before doing this we should inform the hospital so that they can
reach in time. We should continue giving the patient the necessary help, giving him CPR so as to help him
regain his normal pulse rate till the medical team arrives. And the session ended with some questions were from
students to clarify their doubts.

Life is beautiful and it would not have been beautiful without schooling”.
Education is not all about studying and getting good marks. It is really a means to discover new things which
we don't know about and increase our knowledge.
Our lives are beautiful, lovely, satisfactory and successful because we have been provided with a golden
opportunity to have our studies in good schools and thus have shown the path of leading to the stunning
winnings and approving victories. The schools exert great influence upon us. They shape our character, mould
our mental attitudes and fashion the basic principles of life.
With all the achievements over all these years, we as parents must see ourselves as being extremely fortunate to
be a part of the Rajeshwar family.
When parents get involved, children do better in school and in life. Parent’s involvement is the number one
factor affecting student’s success -- regardless of socio-economic status, ethnic/racial background, or the
parents' education level.
It is a matter of pride for me to be the PTA president of this great institution which has completed its 125 years
of success.
This is a remarkable moment for me. I have made such wonderful lasting friendships with parents and
especially with the staff. It was a wonderful journey in Rajeshwar.
Importance of education
Paresh Agrawal
Class : XI A
Better education is very necessary for all to go ahead in the life and get success. It develops confidence and
helps building the personality of a person. School education plays a great role in everyone’s life. The whole
education has been divided into three divisions such as the primary education, secondary education and Higher
Secondary education. All the divisions of education have their own importance and benefits. Primary education
prepares the base which helps throughout the life, secondary education prepares the path for further study and
higher secondary education prepares the ultimate path of the future.
Importance of education tells us the value of education in our life. Education means a lot in everyone’s life as it
facilitates our learning, knowledge and skill. It completely changes our mind and personality and helps us to
attain the positive attitudes. We must give importance to the education than other targets in life as it is the only
source of real happiness in our life.
We all want to see ourselves moving towards success which is only possible through proper education. Every
parent brief their kids from childhood about the importance of education in the life.
In such a competitive world, it is must for all to have good education. Proper education creates lots of ways to
go ahead in the future. It makes us strong mentally, socially and intellectually by increasing our knowledge
level, technical skills. Each and every kid has his own dream of doing something great in the life.
Education is very important for everyone to success in life. Knowledge gained throughout the education period
increases every individual’s confidence level. It opens various doors to the opportunities of achieving better
prospects in life.
Education plays a paramount role in the modern technological world. Now-a-days, there are many ways to
enhance the education level. The whole criteria of education has been changed now. We can study through the
distance learning programmes to enhance the skill level in a particular field.
Honoring our Teachers on their Silver Jubilee
Class : XII A
Going through the darkest caves, I felt a hand holding mine, it was the hand of a teacher. And in his
hand I felt the power of understanding. It was the hand which keeps preparing potions for his students with the
essence of his own knowledge. Yes, teachers are the indispensible part of our life as they guide us to the
impressions of life, love, understanding and morals. No matter how worse the problem be, teachers always go
out of the way to help us.
At Rajeshwar we have the best teachers to make a building child bloom into a mature individual. And to
express our love and gratitude to our loving teachers we celebrate teacher’s day each year. This year it was
scheduled along with the Silver Jubilee celebration of four of beloved teachers:
Arthur Sir: A dashing person with genuine dedication for the school and the students. Strict but soft from inside.
A person who finds joy in extraordinary things.
Prabhat Sir: The most jolly personality in the school with straight forward thinking and intelligence. He helps
children overcome their fears and shine in their lives. A teacher like no other. Truly as vibrant as the dawn.
Rosy Mam: A teacher so kind and humble. A living source of positivity and happiness.
Simmi Mam: A rare teacher with the sweetest and the softest heart and voice. Nurturing the tender hearts of
children with the purest values. Leaving an impression of humanity on their hearts.

Independence Day celebrations bring the essence of patriotic feeling its our minds. Independence holds
great importance for everyone across the world, irrespective of caste, class, gender or race. Thus, in India
too Independence Day is considered a momentous day in its history. It was 15th of August, 1947 when
India got its freedom from the long slavery of around 200 years of the British Rule. It would ever remain a
holy day for every Indian because we have achieved our Independence after much struggle and sacrifices.
Every year we celebrate this day with great enthusiasm in our school. Like this, the grand ceremony of
Independence Day celebrations was done this year as well. We were all enthusiastic enough to participate. The
ceremony started at 7:30 AM in the school open ground.
The Principal, Fr.Jolichan PJ unfurled the tricolour flag and all in unison sang the National Anthem
and expressed joy of our freedom. The March Past by the students of the school was the highlight of the
day. The celebration continued with patriotic songs and dance performances by the students. Every
performer showed great energy. They showed a few stunts in their performance. The Principal, Fr.Jolichan
PJ in his speech urged the students to take a pledge towards a Clean India, Poverty-free India, Corruption-
free India, Terrorism-free India, Communalism-free India to commemorate the sovereignty of our nation.
This short program was concluded by inaugurating the school canteen and the school bus.
Freedom is a condition in which people have the opportunity to speak, act and pursue happiness without
unnecessary external restrictions. Freedom is important because it leads to enhanced expressions of creativity
and original thought, increased productivity, and an overall high quality of life. Let’s now create in India which
is independent of unhealthy thoughts and bad doing. Let our thoughts and bring a change towards personal
independence which would lead to a healthy and economically fit country.
Indeed, it was a day of joy, a day to love and respect our country and make it a better place for
Indians to live and experience the freedom, peace and unity in diversity.
Musical event of the year

The RAJESHWAR School, organized Inter school singing competition as a part of celebration of 125 years.
The event commenced with a prayer song, invoking the blessings of Goddess Saraswati. The first position and
the second position and even the participants were given prizes.
Music is the greatest communication in the world. Even if people don’t understand the language that you’re
singing in, they still know good music when they hear it. To promote singing talents in the school, a singing
competition was organised. The occasion was graced by renowned music personalities and judges for the day.
The school principal Fr. Jolichan felicitated the guests. The event witnessed an enthusiastic participation of
students from various schools.
The participants put up the amazing show with their melodious voice and mesmerized the audience. The judges
were impressed. The participants were judged on their melody, rhythm, synchronization and general impression
difficult.
Song and music are two separate things yet united. It inculcates human virtues and inspires to be good human
beings. This was truly brought alive and brought tears even in the eyes of the judges when one of them sang the
song titled “Meri Maa”.

One of the most straightforward ways to create a healthy school environment is to improve everyday
maintenance to keep school clean and running smoothly and safely. This section addresses regular cleaning and
pest management and helps schools assess and improve their operations and maintenance programs for their
facilities.
School renovations have the potential to increase children’s exposure to harmful contaminants which
can lead to serious health risks.
Addressing the unique challenges and opportunities of school renovation proactively can help the school
save money and support student performance.
School environments play an important role in the health and academic success of children. Children
spend 90% of their time indoors and much of that time is spent in schools.
During school renovations it’s important to be aware of important environmental hazards and know the
best practices for healthy and sustainable schools. It’s also an opportunity to evaluate hazardous
material storage, integrate pest management by design, and incorporate green building practices.
Indoor environmental quality can be compromised during school renovations, potentially exposing
building occupants to damaging hazardous airborne chemicals. Common contaminants include
asbestos, lead, mold, radon, and polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs).
Establishing good design plans to improve the school's efficiency is as important during renovation as it
is during new building design
What We Can Do
Schedule renovations when the least number of staff and students will be in the building.
Minimize the impact of off-gassing of new building materials and products by allowing extra time after
renovation before the building is occupied again.
Establish an inclusive, transparent process for disseminating information and receiving feedback from
school staff, students, and parents.
Know where asbestos containing materials are. If the renovation project will disturb these materials, hire
a licensed asbestos abatement professional to perform special abatement procedures before demolition
or construction activities start.
Fix any moisture problems and maintain proper moisture control after renovations are completed.
If changes will be made to an HVAC system, plan ahead to ensure the post-renovation HVAC system
adequately mitigates radon.
If plans call for expanding a school, verify that there are no potential sources of vapor intrusion nearby.
If renovations are planned for an existing building with a vapor intrusion problem, incorporate
mitigation methods into the renovation design or leave the current vapor intrusion mitigation system(s)
in place.
Develop a chemical management program that addresses proper handling and disposal of chemicals and
what to do if there is a spill or emergency. Clean out or relocate chemicals prior to renovation activities,
if necessary.
Child-occupied facilities must follow the Lead Renovation, Repair, and Painting (RRP) Rule during
renovations. Hire an EPA certified lead-safe contractor to perform any work that will disturb lead-based
paint.
Know where polychlorinated biphenyls (PCB)-containing materials are. Testing of materials and
obtaining EPA approval for removal, worker protection and management, and proper disposal may be
needed.
Characterize construction and demolition debris to determine if it is hazardous waste. Follow all
applicable regulations to contain and dispose of hazardous waste properly. For debris that is not
hazardous waste, consider recycling or reuse.
After the renovation the school has gets more better environment and thanks to all students ,teachers and
our principal who idealized the resolution.

GOA is one of the most famous place located in South Western region of our country. Goa is well known for its
beaches and places of worship. Our trip to Goa was really a mind refresher. Everyone was excited to experience
those feeling of delight and ecstasy. Our journey started on first April from school. The students who
participated in the tour gathered at the school campus. After reaching Indore railway station we boarded the
train ‘Pune express’. Each and every student was ready to feel the essence of Goa. Students were ready for the
overnight journey with music, playing games and small refreshment snacks. Time passed and we reached Hotel
Tourist International, Pune, had breakfast and rested. Our true journey started in Pune when we boarded a train
for Goa . After overnight journey we reached Goa. We checked in Hotel Calungate Towers, had something to
eat and relaxed. In the evening we started on a trip to Calungate beach. The waves gave us a peace of mind and
the water sports were amazing. That time was actually a dream experienced by Rajeshwarians. We walked deep
in the sea to feel those gigantic waves...JOY WAS ENDLESS.
Next was Vagtor Beach , which indeed fascinated us. We then reached Anjuna beach, Baga beach. The best part
of our trip was Basilica of Bom Jesus, it provided internal peace. And last the most fascinating part of the tour
‘Paradise Cruise’. The cruise plan included dance party which was rocked by our Rajeshwarians.

Introduction:
Without oxygen we cannot live for a moment even. Without oxygen, the animal world will die away. Trees
make the oxygen and spread it in the air. While inhaling air we take the oxygen with it into our bodies and live
in life.
Carbon dioxide makes our atmosphere or rather our environment poisonous for us. Trees consume this carbon
dioxide and thereby make our environment safe for us.
Trees also give us many other benefits. We get fruit and flowers from the trees. Trees provide us with fuel and
timber. In summer, they bear the scorching rays of the sun and give us cool shade under them. Trees in our
forests draw the rain from the clouds floating in the sky. Trees in our forests check the quick flow of rain-water
and thereby check the occurrence of high flood in our rivers. On the other hand, this slow process of water-flow
gives us good water throughout the year through streams and streamlets with their sweet melodious music.
Trees conserve our soil. This soil-conservation is very important for our corn-fields. Trees make land fertile by
their fallen leaves. By their fallen leaves they make new soil for us. Most of the forest-products are the products
from the trees in the forests, absence of trees will cause a lot of harm to us and to our life. So the number of
trees should be multiplied by the tree-plantation by us.
We should plant trees near our houses and villages for a forestation with a view to raising new forests. We
should plant trees on both the sides of the roads and paths and on the four sides of our corn-fields. We should
plant trees on all the vacant places in our village in towns where we live, and we should advise all to do so.
We should make good selection of trees to be planted, in consideration of the nature of land and the kind of
climate. Coconut trees grow well in the sea-coasts. Plantain trees grow well near the ponds. We should know
which place is fit for which tree. To know this we should get our soil tested by the experts and plant the kinds of
trees accordingly. Collection of plants to be planted should be made from the Government nurseries in
consultation with the experts there.
Generally, rainy season is the best time for tree-plantation. Most of the tree-plants thrive well in rainy season.
Still then, we should seek advice from the Government agricultural experts about the appropriate time for the
plantation of a particular kind of tree. We did the same and planted trees in our school.
Aftercare:
Only planting the trees is not enough. Because, planted trees may be destroyed by animals or otherwise, or may
die for irregular service of water. So we should be particular about the after-care of the planted trees. We should
be very careful about the newly-planted trees.
Conclusion:
Trees should be regularly planted to save mankind and animal world. Tree plantation and its after-care is a
pleasing work too. We can get much pleasure in planting trees and in taking care of them. Students should plant
trees in their school-compounds and in the front-yards, backyards and side-yards of their schools and near their
own houses and in other places wherever possible. They should explain to their neighbors the positivity of tree-
plantation and encourage them to plant and care for new trees.

International Yoga Day is celebrated on 21 st June every year since 2015. Prime Minister Narendra
Modi suggested the date of 21 st June, as it is the longest day of the year. Practicing yoga is one of the
ways to grow into a better human being with a sharp mind, a good heart and a relaxed soul.
There are numerous yoga asanas done at our school. Pawan Sir and some other students perform the
yoga asanas at the stage and we follow them.
We must try all these and pick the ones that are truly meant for us. The chosen ones must be
practiced regularly to develop a healthy lifestyle. The whole idea behind dedicating a day t o YOGA is to
help the world recognize the wonders it can do if practiced regularly.

There is wisdom of the head, and wisdom of the heart. The wisdom of the head and the wisdom of the
heart are written by fabulous author of the late 19 th century called Chorales Wickens. Head is perceived as
the seat of intelligence while the real wisdom or kindness is directly located inside the heart.
Wisdom or knowledge is the ability to think and act using knowledge, experience, understanding, common
sense and insight. Wisdom is associated such as compassion, experimental self -knowledge, non-
attachment and qualities such as principles and kindness.
Wisdom is the height level of intellectual maturity or intelligence that man’s mind can reach. Wisdom in
all cultures has been described as the ultimate goal for human beings. Scriptures of the world talk about
wisdom and how it can be achieved. Redemption of the wisdom is not an easy task. The wisdom of the
head, as well as the wisdom of the heart, is most sought after curiosities in the world.
Confucius, a great Chinese scholar and teacher tactfully said, “By three method we may learn wisdom;
First, by reflection which is noblest; by experience which is the bitterest”.
One must read a lot of books full of wisdom. There is no shortage of such books. Actually beginning to
read books is the beginning of wisdom. Books actually are nothing but the recorded thoughts and
experience of great wise men. So when we read a book, we collect life experiences and thoughts become
wise though reading, meditation, deliberating and reflection, one’s actions also become wiser; and success
for a truly wise men is a certainty.
The wisdom of the head can be linked to super intelligence, whereas the wisdom of the heart can be linked
to super emotional intelligence guided by inspiration. Wisdom is the ultimate mastery; either of the two
types is sufficient to make the possessor contented and successful.
Wisdom is how you apply your knowledge through the medium of mind and if you are free from negative
emotions and you have good attributes and values in personality, your attitude and behavior reflect your
wisdom.
There is no wisdom of head, wisdom never resides in the head, and head is the seat of minds not wisdom,
mind works through senses like eyes, nose, ears and mouth. So that mind always resides in head, in the
functioning of mind through these senses. It fluctuates along with senses for sensual gratification, so that
wisdom never resides in head, it always accepts pure things only like moral thoughts, ideas and spiritual
thoughts ideas, so that wisdom is the extracted part of these things.

I passed out from the school in the year 1992. Yet it seems like only yesterday. The list of things what I
did inside and outside the classroom is endless. Apart from studies, activities like unearthing ghughoos,
hanging upside down on the horizontal bars, feeding Raja and Rani (the German shepherds of Fr. Mathai),
playing Jolly, Aaloo and Guddi, plucking fruits from gardens of the nearby residential quarters, fooling
‘Sai’ and ‘Bai’ (and her son) during the recess time, deflating bicycle tyres, partying at the bakery, mass
bunking the class (GT) to visit the nearby picnic spots, eating others’ tiffins, using the clip board as bat
while playing cricket after exams, pushing/pulling, fiddling with letters in the post box near the bakery,
organizing sports days, practicing for annual day functions, making money in the fetes, representing the
school in the Republic Day parade and Basket ball competitions at various levels are worth mentioning.
While I enjoyed the fruits of my good deeds, I also gracefully accept ed the bitter rewards for my mischief.
When I was in the primary section, somewhere in the late 70s till mid 80s, the most dreaded name was
‘Pappa teacher’. I had heard about her much before my first day at school. I was keen to join the school
but was scared of ‘Pappa teacher’. Fortunately, my journey in the school began under the warm and caring
wings of the motherly Mrs. Oliver. She was my class teacher in Kindergarten.
I will always be grateful to every teacher and all that we learned from them. I pray to the Almighty is bless
this school and may it keep on progressing.

He’s a great man, and I love him to death. He’s going back to his alma mater, going back to his roots.
Hank Mallol (born 1983, a Noted football coach (Ret.) USA)
If I were to sum up my heartfelt feelings about my Alma mater Rajeshwar Vidyalaya, I will gladly
borrow the exact words expressed by one of my friends late Sudish Taneja, who was not my classmate
although in Rajeshwar Vidyalaya but he too had been a proud student of Rajeshwar Vidyalaya, who had
once said.
“Rajeshwar is in my blood”.
Yes, that’s it. That sums up my sentiments too about my beloved school. This is the highest tribute you
can pay to your alma mater.
Anything said to the contrary will just not suffice, can’t describe it as it should be, cannot surpass the
feelings as expressed by my friend. For, when you have it in your blood, it engulfs everything – love,
adoration, awe, reverence, belongingness: you name it.
I’m really blessed to had been an alumni of this prestigious alma mater with an awesome history dating
back to more than one and a quarter century established in 1892. The school is celebrating its massive
125th anniversary this year. Yes, very much, it is the old institution and still standing firm on its roots.
What a glorious behind! God bless my great school.
It was in 1959 that I had joined Rajeshwar Vidyalaya in class IV and continued till 1965 after having
passed class VIII A to say good bye to Mhow. Every single day spent in my school, with my friends and
in my small beautiful city was an event in my life had been an unforgettable experience. How I wish I
had remained there forever. But life had a different script for me and for that matter may be for most of
us, deviating from all our expectations. Rajeshwar Vidyalaya my friends and my city kept haunting me
all the time. It was like leaving my heart and soul behind in my school, in Mhow.
Our first alumni meet was held in 2012 (with our better halves) after 47 years of leaving my school.
Returning to school was always on cards ever since I had left it.
Our second Alumni meet (this time without our better halves) recently on March 15, 2018. With the help
of face book I found Chandra Mohan Sethi now retired as MD of a company in New Delhi and lastly
Herold Hector brother of late Arnold now in Noida UP retired as Chief Yard Mater in Railways through
one of Alumni Association member in Mhow. Mr. Lekhraj and Mr. MV Rao similarly joined us who
were also alumni of Rajeshwar Vidyalaya. Our much awaited first meet was tagged as.
“Koi lauta dey merey bitey huye din” a very popular old hindi movie song sung by the legend Kishore
Kumar with emotional overtones voicing our inherent innocent desires to return to good old days. So it
became “ Koi lauta dey….”Part 1 in 2012 and Part 2 in 2018. The tag was suggested by the organiser of
both the meets Sqn. Ldr. (Ret.) Devendra Goel himself and he insisted it should never be changed. We
were too happy to oblige him.
It was an emotional journey for me to Rajeshwar Vidyalaya both the times coupled with all the thrill,
excitement and fun that goes with visiting your beloved school and alumni meets. It was possible
because of the blessings of almighty God only. The Principal Rev. Fr. Jolichan PJ a young, humble,
learned man was visibly delighted to welcome us and had been kind enough to grant us permission to
celebrate. We went through many of our hand written articles, poems and paintings in our old yearbooks
neatly arranged by the school.
There is nothing so useful to man in general, nor so beneficial to particular societies and
individuals, as trade. This is that alma mater, at whose plentiful breast all mankind are nourished.
-Henry Fielding (22nd April 1707- 8th October 1754) was an English novelist and dramatist.
Our friend Devendra Goel also spoke about his experiences. Also Vijay Sanghi who is an eminent
scientist narrated his experiences about how he prepared a comprehensive report on population control
in India which is pending for final decision and action if any with the Prime Minister’s office. Alumini
association President Mr. Sharma also addressed the gathering. Lastly Rev. Fr. Jolichan PJ also
addressed us, briefing us about the activities, achievements and history of Rajeshwar Vidyalaya.
There is always a sense of belongingness, being an inseparable part of my Alma mater Rajeshwar
Vidyalaya which always haunts me, beckons me all the time that I want to get back to Rajeshwar
Vidyalaya yet one more time; may be many more time if God willing. I once again pray to God to bless
our great school.

Rev Fr Sibi changed the infrastructure of the old building. Being a principal he was never afraid to think
out of the box. He always thinks about new progressive ideas to prepare for the future and improve
the school’s learning environment. Fr Sibi is admired for his academic excellence, co- curricular pursuits
and discipline.
2015-2017
1st lady Principal, in short term being the Principal of Rajeshwar School, she proved herself as a good
administration. She was dedicated to her task, sincere to the core, simple in life and was never yielding
to anger. As a Principal she scripted love and enduring respect in the hearts of all those who came in
touch with her though being a lady she was tough but extremely fair. She was a visionary and involved
everybody. Unlike buried monuments of stone what she has authored in our hearts will live on.
The first year of Rev. Fr. Jolichan as a principal we saw the school’s Quasquicentennial celebration,
inauguration of the Jubilee hall and the Canteen, inauguration of library and new staff room, Ex.
Teachers Day celebration.
The most prominent and impressive event of this 125th celebration was the Rajeshwar Premier League
which brought great glory and fame to the institution. Fr. Jolichan P.J. also organized a lunch on
children’s day for the students which was given by the PTA.
For the first time the foundation day was celebrated with great zest. Fr. Jolichan P.J. has set high
expectation for everyone on effective learning and teaching strategies. He has created and environment
that is collaborative and accepting to the institution.
This year is very special. This is the Quasquicentennial Jubilee year. It is time to celebrate the incredible
history and growth of Rajeshwar.
From a very humble beginning in 1892, Rajeshwar School has grown leaps and bounds and now stand
tall and proud with impressive infrastructure, equipped with the latest innovation technology with digital
classrooms, expansive playgrounds, libraries, high quality laboratories, computer labs, robotics, canteen
etc.
The school has grown from strength to strength under the competent and skill guidance of great
Principals and at present Rajeshwar occupies a place of pride in the town. I acknowledge the valuable
contribution of the Fathers, Brothers and Sisters who worked tirelessly for its growth.
Many milestones have been achieved and many still to be reached. We at Rajeshwar will continue our
unceasing efforts to mould the young minds into well balanced personalities with confidence and zeal
befitting the high standards of this portal of education.
I thank God the Almighty, for His invisible yet powerful hand guiding all of us to that destiny which is
designed for us. Let me place on record my sincere thanks and appreciation for the boundless support
and co-operation from the management committee, alumni association, P.T.A. members, teaching
fraternity, parents, friends and well wishers.
Once again I conclude by congratulating each and every member of Rajeshwar family as it joyfully
celebrates the Quasquicentennial Jubilee year of its inception.
