2. PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The main objective of this mini project is to APPLY THE CHEMICAL PROCESS PRINCIPLES for
the case study as given below.
The project requires an initial literature review on process background which includes the product
and its recent production technologies.
The analysis and calculations can be executed using MICROSOFT EXCEL or any software deemed
suitable.
The production rate is determined as 130,000 MT/year.
For Material and Energy Balances, handwriting is permitted for the calculations.
3. REPORT FORMAT
Cover Page
Appropriate title name (production quantity), Names, Section and ID. Please insert the WORK
DISTRIBUTION FORM after the front cover.
Executive Summary
Summarize the important details of each chapter. It must be specific, clear and convincing.

o Details of published sources of material referred to or quoted in the text (including any lecture

o The references should be arranged according to the author name in alphabetical order.

The marks for each section will be assigned as following. Each student in the group must assign
themselves as Student 1, 2, 3 or 4 and this cannot be changed throughout the project. The work
