6. Connect notebook to ethernet (Port D in GPB)- set ip address in notebook to 10.32.21.3
netmask 255.255.255.240 (My network places/properties/local area connection/properties/TCP/IP/properties/Use the following IP address. Make sure the status of connection ie disable and then enable)
Make sure you can ping the node: ping 10.32.21.1 (Start/run/cmd)
Make sure notebook is connected to RBS Ethernet port

LOADING UPGRADE PACKAGE
1. Start up EM by opening IE with http://10.31.21.1/em/index_stubbed.html
2. Click Configuration>Cabinet Equipment, you will see “configuration node production centre”, click next
3. Configuration cabinet equipment – page 1(6), click on wizard and click next
4. Configuration cabinet equipment – page 3(6), complete the configuration data as per hardware in Node B especially the ETM-1 type to E1, click next.
5. Complete the ip configuration data ie. IP = 10.31.21.1 and subnet mask 255.255.255.240, click next
6. Check your configuration settings 5 (5), if ok, click “Finish”
7. Now Node B will be loaded with the current configuration that you defined and will auto re-start with cv = INITIAL _CV – EM will have to be shut down and restarted as well.
Result: Configuration Completed Successfully Cabinet Configuration ------------------- The RBS will now restart in order to activate equipment configuration. The connection to the RBS will be lost. Please close the Element Manager and the browser.
The RBS will have the following IP configuration after the restart:
IP Address: 10.31.21.1 Subnetmask: 255.255.255.240
8. Start EM and perform upgrade to: UP_RBS_CXP901913_R9N_RAN_2.1.2_CU3_A
9. Run Bison in notebook, change Bison path to the upgrade directory, (in Bison, security tap/user group/home directory example C:\John Tan\UP_RBS_CXP901913_R9N_RAN_2.1.2_CU3_A\UP_RBS_CXP901913_R9N_RAN_2.1.2_CU3_A\ 10. In EM go to the following tabs- > maintenance > Software>upgrade package/install insert Name = RBS UP path = C:\John Tan\UP_RBS_CXP901913_R9N_RAN_2.1.2_CU3_A\UP_RBS_CXP901913_R9N_RAN_2.1.2_CU3_A/ CXP901913%2_R9N.xml (make sure all info end to end is pasted) IP address of your notebook example 10.31.21.3
11. Click ‘create package’ in EM, later click ok for ‘Hard install’, Upgrade node and soft upgrade.

12. Start EM - >Configuration Tab> O&M access> next > page 1(14), click ‘use configuration file’, file path ie ‘C:\John Tan\rbs21scripts\Casc.Rbs21_oam_access_config.xml’ ‘Auto no wizard.’ Next – you will see ‘O&M Configuration’ data Finish, (you will loose connection) and you will see ‘configuration completed successfully’, click ‘ok’
13. Start EM - >Maintainance>SW>Configuration Version>Create
Give a CV Name ie OAM_CV_IPSET, click ‘OK”

14. Run EM ->Configuration>Site Equipment> click Next
click ‘use configuration file’ file path ie C:\John Tan\rbs21scripts\Casc.Rbs0021_site_equipment_config.xml click ‘Wizard” check result is successful, click ‘next’
15. Complete the data
logical name, click next Alex server address, click next Sector data configuration, click next NTP server and time date etc, click next Antenna branch configuration – New value freqBandHiEdge = 10812 and freqBandLoEdge = 10712 Antenna cable configuration, click next Initiate sector, click next Rbs Local Cell Configuration, click next Site Equipment Configuration summary, click next Finish, wait for it to create site configuration, okay.
16. Once wizard is completed, wait for sectors to be enabled, and the TUB light should stop blinking after a while.
17. Run EM->Configuration>configuration file executor.
