Engine oil work in a car engine:

The Engine oil is pumped from the sump, its functions as the reservoir. When the
engine is turned on the sucked oil from the pump now goes through the pickup
tube, also where the oil becomes pressurized. The oil is then pass through the oil
filter, the filter helps to avoid impurities that present in the engine oils. the filtered
oil now travels to the other parts of the engine which include bearings, pistons, and
valve train.Through the oil channels, the oil returns to the sump.Select the best
quality engine oil in order to improve your cars efficiency. The primary function of
Engine oil it to lubricate the moving parts. Contact between moving parts in the
engine leads to wear and tear and excessive heat. But in the practical sense
presence of engine oil inside engine achieves more than just that.
It is impossible to completely prevent wear and tear, it will still be there, but at a
reduced rate. This gradually creates minute particles which get suspended in the
engine oil and later gets filtered or removed when oil is changed.
Burning fuel leads to deposits inside the engine cylinders which is bad for many
reasons; lower power output, undesirable exhaust gases, wear and tear, corrosion
etc. Engine oil can take away the deposits out of combustion chamber.
Protect from Corrosion: Engine oil prevents oxidation of engine surfaces by
forming a protective layer. This is a serious issue as susceptibility for corrosion is
high at elevated temperatures. Working: There are two ways to incorporate lub oil
system inside engine. One is wet sump lubrication system.

The vast majority of modern motorcycles use the same oil to lubricate the engine,
transmission, and the clutch. Motor oil lubricates moving parts by covering these
parts with a slick film. Oil's ability of resistance to flow is called viscosity. When
motor oil is cooled, the viscosity of the oil is thick and is capable of producing a
friction-resistant coating on surfaces. As internal engine temperature rises, the
viscosity thins out, allowing the oil to flow better, but reduces the tendency to
adhere parts. The viscosity index measures the performance of an oil's viscosity
changes as engine temperatures change. A higher viscosity index indicates that the
rating of the oil's viscosity, changing less in high-temperature situations than a
lower viscosity indexed oil.
