MINUTES OF THE MEETING

The meeting started at exactly 2:00 PM which was opened with a short prayer led
by Maja Rochelle T. Bagnol - Kawikaan’s class mayor. After the opening prayer, the
teacher asked the parents to sign on the attendance sheet and to write their contact
numbers on the paper provided.

The agenda of the meeting was explained thoroughly by the teacher. The teacher
informed the parents that attendance is important and their children will be considered
dropped after accumulating 10 consecutive absences. They were also asked to submit an
excuse letter if ever their children will be absent for a valid reason. The teacher distributed
a copy of student’s attendance and reminded that students are not allowed to stay in
school beyond their schedule. Punctuality was also emphasized. Students must be in the
school premises at exactly 6:45 in the morning for their flag ceremony and 7:00 AM for
their first period. 3 late marks in the attendance record will be tantamount to 1 absent.
The teacher also told the parents that there will be a fine of P5.00 for late comers from
7:00 – 7:30 AM, P10.00 for late comers from 7:30 AM and beyond and P20.00 for students
who skipped their first class and attended the succeeding classes within the day. Because
of the careful explanation made by the teacher, the parents agreed with the mentioned
punishment provided that the fine will be used by the students in buying materials
needed for their classroom.

Another agenda of the meeting was to remind the parents of their responsibilities
with their children. The teacher read the school’s rules and regulations and explained the
offenses and their corresponding punishments. The role of the guidance office was also
mentioned. Grading system and awards plus the tentative schedules for quarterly
examinations were also discussed.
After the teacher explained her part, the parents were asked to proceed with the
election of the PTA officers for school year 2019-2020. The following were elected:

After the election, the elected officers were asked to introduce themselves in
front. Then, the teacher read and explained the GPTA resolution number 001-2019 which
suggests the GPTA fee in the amount of P100.00 per student. Everything about the
resolution was explained by the teacher. After that, the president - Mrs. Bagnol initiated
the discussion of their PTA project. They saw the need of grills for the door in the
classroom so they agreed to pay P100.00 each for the said grills. Majority of the body
agreed and paid the said amount. The others suggested that the deadline of the payment
should be by the end of June. It was also stressed by the parents that those who did not
attend the meeting will be considered part of the majority. The meeting ended at exactly
3:30 PM.
