I. OBJECTIVES
At the end of the discussion, the students are expected to:
A. describe the nature and movements of cheer dancing;
B. execute the basic arm movements correctly; and
C. create movements in coming up with your own choreographed Cheer Dance.

B. Motivation
Today, we are going to have some fun by having a game
that I think you are all familiar with. Sounds interesting
right? : Yes sir!
But before that, you will be grouped into two groups
first. (The students will be grouped into two)
I have here a video clip of showtime, so that we can : (Students will watch)
understand better the mechanics of the activity.
Good! Now I will group you into two. The right side will
be Group 1 and the left side will be Group 2.

Since our lesson for today is about Cheer Dance, let us
learn together and be fit. Does it sound good class! : Yes Sir!
You both got the point. We cheer in order for our team to
gain confidence and boost their fighting spirit. Now, due
to Filipino’s love for dancing, they added more dance
routines to their cheers and came up with the terms cheer
dance. Today, cheer dancing is identified as one of the
most spectacular events in our country, the UAAP
(University Athletic Association of the Philippines.)
