2019 Qualifying Examination

Description
This is a comprehensive examination to be administered to 2nd year, 3rd year, and
4th year BS Management Accounting students.

Objective
The 2019 Qualifying Exam seeks to find out who among our Management
Accounting students in the 2nd, 3rd and 4th year are eligible for admission to the
University of Makati’s 5th year BS Accountancy Program.

Exam Composition
The exam will be taken by 2nd, 3rd and 4th year Management Accounting students.
The composition of the exam per year level will be as follows:

Passing Percentage to Qualify


In order to qualify for the BS Accountancy Program, the examinee must obtain an
average grade of 75%.

Issuance of Certificate of Eligibility


Examinees who will successfully hurdle the passing percentage for the qualifying
exams will receive a Certificate of Eligibility, indicating that he/she is qualified for
admission the BS Accountancy program.

Implementing Rules and Regulations for 2019 Qualifying Exam

1. The examinee is assigned with a unique control number that is printed on


each of his answer sheet and envelop.
2. The examinee may not put his name or any initial that may expose his
identity on his answer sheet.
3. The examinee must wear a plain white shirt (or with minimal print if none).
4. The examinee should be in the examination room 30 minutes before
examination time to provide time allowance for attendance and
distribution of examination paper.
5. The examinee must present his stub to the proctor upon checking of
attendance and distribution of examination paper for each subject.
6. The examinee must surrender their phone upon checking of attendance.
Phones will be labeled with the examiner’s control number.
7. The examinee is given 3 hours to finish each subject. (Please see
examination schedule)
8. The examinee cannot leave the room once answer sheet has been received
and until examination period is over.
9. The examinee can only start with their exam and submit their answer sheet
upon the call of the proctors.
10.The examinee may only use BLACK inked ballpen in shading the answer
sheet.
11.Any erasure is considered wrong.
12.Caught in any form of cheating will result to the disqualification of the
candidate.
