A.1.Prayer and
Checking of Attendance
A.2. Review What is in-text citation? What about referencing? Why is it important for a
writer to cite sources?
A.3. Motivation Charades
 The class is divided into three.
 Each group should have one volunteer. Student who volunteers
will be the one to do the charade or to act out what is written on
a piece of paper inside the vase.
 The opponent group will be given the chance to interpret the
charades.
 The student who can give the right answer will receive a prize.

 Pizza tastes better than hamburger.
 The earth is the center of the universe.

A.4. Presentation of At the end of the lesson the students must:


Objectives 1. identify facts from opinions;
2. express/form opinions from the given facts;
3. appreciate one’s opinions; and
4. produce a campaign advertisement showing opinion about a
given fact.

A.5. Activity Proper Read the following article and make an appropriate graphic organizer
showing the facts from the selection. Then give your insights/opinions about
each fact presented. In your group, write the activity on a ½ Manila paper. (10
minutes)

BULLYING
Teenagers interacting through social media avenues such as Facebook may
encounter bullying situations, stated O’Keeffe and Klark-Pearson. The authors
of the AAP report, define cyberbullying as the deliberate use of digital media to
hurt, embarrass or share hostile information about someone else. With the
social interactions that take place between “friends” on Facebook, it’s common
for cyberbullying situations to occur. The results of cyberbullying can include
anxiety, depression and even suicide.

B. ANALYSIS 1. Based from the activity given, what do you think is the importance
of sharing one’s opinions or personal views about a fact?

As a student, why do you need to form or give your opinions or
personals views on each fact you grasp whether it could be in school
or at home?

In your group, express your opinion from a given fact. Present your
output in different forms. Do the activity within 20 minutes. (20 pts.)

In ¼ piece of paper, write down whether each example is a fact or an opinion.
1. Pizza tastes better than hamburger.
2. There are fewer panda bears in the world than grizzly bears.
3. Drinking orange juice right after brushing your teeth tastes bad.
4. Justin Bieber deserved to win the Grammy for best new artist.
5. Chicken that has not been properly prepared and cooked may cause salmonella.
6. Cheating on your boyfriend or girlfriend is wrong.
7. The smallest penguin on the planet is 16 inches tall.
8. Super Mario is one of the greatest video game characters of all time.
9. Chocolate milk tastes better than regular milk.
10. The strongest muscle in the body is tongue.

B. Collaborative Work
In your group, make a campaign advertisement showing your opinion about the topic,
