Project Description:

Maersk Group has an environment of Backup exec. Involve in migrating the existing environment to
CommVault with designed setup as per the requirement of the client, stabilizing the configured
environment, maintain the whole environment with trouble shooting levels, Patch installations,
Implementations and migrations etc.

RESPONSIBILITIES

 Incident Management before the SLA Breach


 Problem Management. Issues when re-occurred will owned as a problem ticket and
investigate for the root cause.
 Backup failure issues, Drive issues.
 Owning escalations incase needed.
 Installation of CommVault as per the request of the client.
 Creating Storage policies & Schedule policies.
 Installation of Patches as per the updates needed.
 Configuration of DB’s Backups on CommVault
 Migration of existing environment from Backup Exec to CommVault
 Handling Vendor calls for root analysis of a problem
 Handling the main region which is giving more revenue to Maersk line with 99% backup
success report
 Played a crucial role in Migrating the commcell from ver9 to ver10 on new server
 Helping manger to prepare monthly, quarterly & yearly data review.

RESPONSIBILITIES

 Incident Management for Backup Failures


 Monitoring and remote troubleshooting of libraries, drives and stuck tapes
 Restore critical data on customer request. Handling the restore process which involves
achieving 100% success for restore jobs. Maintain high level of quality communication
while performing the restore of data.
 Investigate and understand current problems and root cause of issues with the service, and
execute plans to address the issues.
 Handling change requests raised by customers.
 Perform gap analysis for SLA misses if any and take remedial measures.
 Up gradation of servers to Newer Version from older version.

sending various reports to senior management.
 Checking all logs services and troubleshoot the problems.
 Configuration of Database and Recovery log.
 Define Policy Domain, Policy Set, management Class, Backup copy group, Archive
Group.
 Configuring TSM operations like Expiration, Migration, reclamation, Collocation etc.
 Define and configuring the client Schedules and Administrative Schedule.
