Instructions for Applying under Young Interns Program 2019
1. Young Interns program 2019 is an internship program consisting of leveraging
skill of students of reputed institutions or young entrepreneurs / innovators/ employees of private sector /self – employed professionals / scholars/ educators/ any other on sabbatical leave and simultaneously the individuals gain invaluable insight while working for the state government departments/ agencies. Thus, this program would be mutually beneficial to both the stakeholders. The objective of the program is to empower the young brains to learn and spread awareness and knowledge about various government programs and services for the benefit of society. 2. This is only an internship program and does not provide any type of employment or guarantee any employment in future. Illustrative list of areas of study, eligibility, procedure for selection are available under guidelines at website www.plan.rajasthan.gov.in/statistics and online recruitment portal www.recruitment.rajasthan.gov.in/recruitment. 3. Online Applications are invited for Young Interns Program 2019 Applicant for Student Category : Applicants/ Students who are studying currently and Internship assignment is forming a part of training as per curriculum of their course. Applicant for Sabbatical Leave Category: Passed out Graduate/ Post–graduate student in the field of Engineering/ Medical/ Agriculture/ Law from a reputed University Passed out Post–graduate student in the field of Development Studies/ International Development/Political Science/ Economics/ Sociology/ Public Policy/ Finance/ Management/Engineering/ Agriculture/ Law/ Medical/ Communications from a reputed University Employees of private firms/ companies/ Self – employed professionals (Lawyers, Engineers, Doctors, CA, CS, Social Scientists, Educators, Young entrepreneurs innovators etc) or any other on Sabbatical leave. 3.1 Candidates who are in final year/semester of their qualifying degree as per required below in para 5, may also apply under sabbatical leave category but they have to produce their mark sheet/degree showing that they fulfil required qualification for joining this program at the time of interview/final selection or whenever asked without which their candidature will not be considered. 4. Age- Above 18 and below 35 years (As on 01-07-2019) 5. A Educational Qualification- a. Graduate student in the field of Engineering/ Medical/ Agriculture/ Law from a reputed University. b. Post–graduate student in the field of Development Studies/ International Development/Political Science/ Economics/ Sociology /Public Policy / Finance /Management/ Engineering/ Medical/ Agriculture/ Law/ Communications from a reputed University. c. Young entrepreneurs innovators, Employees of private firms/ companies /think tanks Self – employed professionals & Scholars (Lawyers, Engineers, Doctors, CA, CS, Social Scientists, Educators etc.) can also participants. B Other Qualification- a. Excellent communication / presentation / intra –personal skills. b. Well versed information Technology skills ( MS Office including MS word, power point, Excel and other similar programs on alternative platforms). 6. Area of Interest: I. Area of Interest is to be written including above points and should be based on any government scheme and program. II. Area of Interest is to be typed in Microsoft Word document (not less than 400 words) in Hindi or English and same to be uploaded in pdf format at the time of applying for this program, based on his interest in any government scheme and program. III. No scanned copy of Area of Interest will be accepted. 7. Selection Procedure: a. Directorate of Economics & Statistics will invite applications from prospective Interns and carry out the selection. b. Applications will be scrutinized on the basis of candidate’s academic record and brief note on area of interest or proposed topic of Internship. c. In case of young entrepreneurs/ innovators/ employees of private sector/ self-employed professionals/ scholars/ educators/ any other on sabbatical leave, their academic background, area of expertise/ interest, field & quality of innovation and experience shall be given weightage in selection. d. Scrutinized applications would be forwarded to the concerned department, responsible for sector of interest of intern and that department would, finally, select the interns. e. Internship will be grant initially for duration of six months and extend up to maximum period of 2 years based on intern’s performance under sabbatical leave category. 8. Link for filling online application forms will be appeared from 14th March, 2019 to 13th April, 2019. Candidate can apply online on the link given on the departmental website or going directly on online recruitment portal or through E-mitra. 9. Application Submission Last Date: 13th April, 2019 up to 11:59 P.M. After this Link will be disappeared from departmental website & Online Recruitment portal. 10. Only online application form will be accepted. No other mode of application will be accepted. 11. Applicants are suggested to read carefully, the advertisement and guidelines of Young Interns Program 2019 on departmental website or online recruitment portal before applying to this program. 12. The applicant under student category should submit a 'Recommendation Letter' from the Principal of College/Head of the Institution/Registrar & Head of Departments which he/she is attending or is enrolled in to pursue higher studies along with the completed application form. Recommendation should be issued on or after the date of advertisement published in newspaper. No earlier recommendation will be consider for internship. 13. Applicant under Sabbatical Leave Category: i. Employees of private sector and employees on sabbatical leave are required to submit application along with the permission from their appointing Authority. Recommendation should be issued on or after the date of advertisement published in newspaper. No earlier recommendation will be consider for internship. ii. Applicant who have completed their graduate / Post–graduate degree as per guideline but he/ She not a student or employee at the time of submission of application would be considered under Sabbatical Leave Category and do not require any 'Recommendation Letter'. 14. Scanned copies of relevant documents (Recommendation from Institution, Undertaking etc.) have to be uploaded at the time of filling form. 15. All applicants have to produce their certificates/degrees/documents regarding age & educational qualification at the time of interview/final selection or whenever asked. 16. DES will not be responsible for delay in online submission due to any reason. For this, applicants are requested to upload the complete application form well advance in time so as to avoid 11 hour issues like slow speed; choking of web site due to heavy load or any other unforeseen problems. 17.
