State region. Locally higher amounts

Coastal Flooding
Coastal Flood Hazards and Impacts:
 Moderate coastal flooding (inundation of 2 to 3 ft above
ground level) in vulnerable coastal locales of SW Coastal
CT and S Westchester.
 Numerous road closures and widespread flooding
of low lying property near the waterfront.
 Widespread minor to moderate coastal flooding
(inundation of 1 to 2 ft above ground level) for vulnerable
coastal locales of LI, Queens, Bronx and SE CT.

Shoreline Hazards and Impacts:


 7-11’ breaking waves along the oceanfront, 3 to 5’ along
CT and Westchester shoreline.
 Significant beach flooding and erosion expected during
the times of high tide along CT and Atlantic Ocean
shorefront, with some flooding of roadways and
vulnerable structures behind protective dunes.

Timing:
 During times of high tide tonight.
