Background of the study-


Organization is set of people working together accomplishment of a
common objective. The roles and responsibilities are stated very clearly
without any ambiguity. The positions occupied by different individuals
are presented in the form of organization chart. Organizational structure
is essential for continuity of the mission and co ordinates, controls the
business activities. Organization helps management to perform in actives
effectively, optimum use of technology improvement growth, creatively,
effective use of physical resources and human resources.

Objective of the study


To understand the organization structure and hierarchy of the
company.
To understand the working of the various department.
To understand the various responsibilities and duties carried out
by each department.
The study is aimed at understanding how an organization
practically works in the real situations.
Scope of the study-
This project is based on the study conducted at Vishal mega mart,
Sonarpura Varanasi. It aims at understanding the company’s
establishment, organization structure, departments, techniques,
marketing strategies and the advantages it having over the competitors.
“As per the company rules many information was not disclosed. As per
the managers are busy in their daily schedules it is not possible for me to
spend time in interaction and discussion with them.”
