    I. Objectives:
    Analyses elements and principles of art in the production one’s arts and crafts inspired by the arts of
    Mindanao (A7EL-IIIb-1)
    Identifies characteristics of arts and crafts in specific areas in Mindanao (e.g., maritime vessel
    [balanghay] from Butuan, vinta from Zamboanga; Maranao’s malong, brasswares, okir, panolong,
    torogan, and sarimanok; Yakan’s fabric and face makeup and body ornamentation; T’boli’s tinalak
    and accessories; Tawi-tawi’s Pangalay dance, etc. (A7EL-IIIa-2)

    B. Reference: Teachers Guide in Arts Grade 7
    C. Materials:
    Equipment: Laptop
    Software: PowerPoint presentation, sample pictures of arts
    D.Concept: Elements and Principles of Arts
    III. Procedure:
    A. Introductory Activity:
    Reviewing Previous Lesson:Teacher will ask the students about their perception of
    Mindanao.

    Drill:
    Short video presentation of Mindanaon people, culture, and tradition.

    The teacher will ask the following questions:

    What did you observe about the people, culture and tradition in Mindanao? (Small Group
    Discussion/Reporting)
    B. Development of the lesson:
    1st activity:
    The students will identify different significant artworks from the video presentation.
    Discussion of the elements and principles of arts present in the artworks of Mindanao.

    2nd activity:
    The teacher will discuss motifs and the characteristics of Mindanao folk arts.
    Learners will determine different motifs and designs based on the given examples
