Kanban (n) Japanese word for “card signal.

The Kanban is a tool for visualizing and managing work in


progress. It is divided into columns and populated with sticky notes.
This is our Kanban board. We have divided it into four columns, backlog, ready, doing, and
done. Each column holds sticky notes with our ideas, intentions, and works in progress called
To-Do list
stories. We move these stories from left to right as we prepare, do, then finish them.

Intention setting - Doing - Reflection
Stories: These are sticky Kanbans work best when we use them within a cycle. For
notes that describe instance we might move our stories (intentions) into ready at the
