A 40 mm diameter circle rolls outside an arc of radius 70 mm for circular distance

120 mm. trace the path of a point lying on the circumference of the rolling circle,
which is contact with the arc in its initial position. Name the curve.
2. Construct a ellipse when the distance between the focus and the directrix is 60 mm
and the eccentricity is 3/4. Draw a tangent and normal at any point on the ellipse.
3. A line AB is 75 long . A is 50 infront of VP and 15 above HP. B is 15 infront of VP
and is above HP. Top view of AB is 50 long. Draw and measure the front view. Find
the true inclinations.
4. Draw an epicycloid with the radius of the generating / rolling circle and radius of the
directing circle equal to 30 mm and 100 mm respectively. Draw normal and tangent to
the curve at any point on the epicycliod curve.
5. Draw an involute of a given hexagon of side equal to 30 mm.
6. Draw the projections on a common reference line. Take 20mm distance between the
projectors.
a. Point A is 10mm above HP and 25mm infront of VP
b. Point B is 10mm above HP and on the VP
c. Point C is 25mm below HP and 20mm behind VP
d. Point D is 20mm below HP and 20mm infront of VP
e. Point E is on the reference line
f. Point F is on both HP and VP
7. A line AB 60mm long, has its end A 30mm above HP and 25mm infront of VP. The
top view and front view has a length of 40mm and 55mm respectively. Draw its
projections.
8. ABCDE is a regular pentagonal plate of 40 side and has its corner A on HP. The plate
is inclined to HP such that, the top view lengths of edges AB and AE are each 35. The
side CD is parallel to both the reference planes. Draw the projections of the plate and
find its inclination with HP.

base edges on HP such that, the axis is inclined at 300 tp HP and 450 to VP. Draw its
projections.
10. A pentagonal pyramid, with side of base 30 and altitude 75, rests on one of its edges
of the base on HP, with the base making an angle 350 with HP. The pyramid is cut by
a section plane, parallel to HP and passing through that corner of the base, farthest
from HP. Draw the sectional top view of the truncated pyramid.
11. A cone of base 50 diameter and axis 60 long, is resting on its base on HP. It is cut by
a section plane perpendicular to VP and parallel to an extreme generator and passing
through a point on the axis at a distance of 20 from the apex. Draw the development
