Almost everybody has some of the pain like lumber pain, lower back pain, upper back pain shoulder
pain knee pain etc
So patients want relief from their pain at any cost. So it is our first duty to utilise our knowledge to
get relief from their pain.
Now friends you all must be thinking what is special in Tan Balance?
First of all tongue dignosis pulse dignosis is not required
Only diagnosis of sick meridian is required.
Only basic 12 main meridians & 2 extra meridians & their pathways are required.
No need to treat actual painful area.
Because as per Dr. Tan, he said the painful side is already weak, if we needle the same side, same
area then that area becomes weaker. We can treat painful area with the help of the remote.
Treatment can be given in sitting position so we can treat more than one patient at a time.
In the first treatment patient get some of the relief in pain so patient will maintain treatment
schedule suggested by you.
Friends why to use Tan Balance Method & why not TCA?
Both have their advantages & disadvantages also.
TCA i.e. Traditional Chinese Acupuncture relies on many theories & useful sections like Zang-fu
Theory, Five Element Theory, Mother Son Law & many more.
Balance Method is straight forward, it is easy to remember & very few needles with quick & amazing
results.
As a nice example of the Tan balance method i am giving a video where i treated heel pain in just
one treatment see the points and see where the pain was.OK?

Friends before we start our tan balance method we should understand some basic acupuncture like
yin & yang theory, 12 primary meridians, organ clock theory, six channel theory etc
Friends all of you must aware all these basic things but it is very important to revise all basic things.
Ok who can tell me yin organs very fast? So there are yin and yang organs which are they
Lung, Spleen, Heart, Kidney, Pericardium & Liver these are Yin Organs.
Whereas, L.I; ST; SI; BL; TW; GB are yang organs.
These all yin and yang meridians have pairs of internally externally related properties like?
Ok then we will go to the Organ Clock theory which is very important in Tan Balance Method & also
in our day to day life.
It is called as 24 hrs cycle. 12 organs are adjusted into 24 hrs cycle so every organ gets 2 hrs to do its
work.
Since you have uploaded this can you tell at what time the energy in the lungs is at minimum
Suvarna the energy rises say from 11 to to one and is maximum at 12 clock in the heart is that right
for all the organs?
Now what is the importance of this organ clock in our day to day life?
Friends, every organ is active in this 2 hrs cycle.
Lung is most active in morning 3-5am. So it is advisable to do all breathing exercises, yoga,
pranayam, meditation at that time. That time our mind is fresh, calm & cool. No polluted air at that
time so we can absorb maximum o2, also ozon layer is there at this time. So we can get more
benefit.
Friends morning 3-5 is most active time for lungs so lung energy is maximum whereas afternoon 3-5
lung energy is minimum so afternoon 3-5 time is not good for breathing exercises & all.
Now see the energy flow of lungs in between 3 to 5 am.
4am
3am 5am
See Lung energy starts at 3 am then it is increasing till 4am. It is maximum at 4am then again it
started decreasing from 4 to 5 am then at 5 am it goes to the next organ i.e. large intestine.
Now next organ is Stomach. Most active time for stomach is morning 7 to 9. You can have your
heavy breakfast at this time because stomach is most active. The churning capacity of stomach is
very good at this time so whatever you will eat, stomach have capacity to digest it.
Spleen is our next organ as per organ clock. Time is morning 9 to 11. As per Traditional Chinese
Acupuncture, the main function of spleen is transportation & transformation.
What does it transforms? The spleen transforms the nutrients it extracts from the food into energy
& takes it around the body to be utilised.
Next is Heart. Most active time of the heart channel is 11am -1pm. The blood circulation of this time
is very good . Heart is related to mind so at this time our mind is fresh & with full of energy at this
time.
So in office all important meetings or important work mostly schedule at this time only.
Next organ is Small Intestine. 1 pm to 3 pm. At this time we can have our lunch. Small Intestine
organ is most active at this time so the main function of small intestine to separates liquids from
more solid waste. If water intake is very less then you will feel dehydrated in this time.
Now next organ is Urinary Bladder. Timing is 3 to 5 pm. This is the most active time for bladder.
What is the main function of bladder? The bladder stores & secretes urine. It is nourished by salty
foods. It is important to drink more liquids at this time to help remove the wastes being filtered.
At 5-7 pm Kidney is the most active organ. The kidneys filter blood & maintain chemical balance. It is
very good time to eat your evening food & take some gentle exercises & stretches.
The function of small intestine s to reeive from dstomach and process the food further and send the
pure and impure to the respective parts like bladder and large intestine
Evening 7-9 is the time of Pericardium. In this time all nutrients are carried to each & every cell of
the body. Try to avoid physical or mental exertion at this time & do work like reading. It is also called
as circulation sex so this is a thought to be a good time to try & conceive.
9 to 11 pm is a time for Triple warmer or endocrine system where the body’s homeostasis is
adjusted & enzymes are replenished.
It is recommended to sleep at this time so the body can conserve energy for the following day.
1 -3 pm most active time of Liver. This time you should be sleep. The liver stores the blood & is
involved in breaking down the toxins. So during this time, toxins are released from the body & fresh
Ans: Ok here is the answer. STomach and large intestines are yang organs and are incharge of
processinga nd creating separations of food and drink in to easily absorbable parts. Stomachs main
function is to remain wet. It likes wetness ( Acid) so it rottensa nd ripens the food. Which food?
Some carbohydrates and protiens and when the reaction is complete it goes to the deodenum ( How
it comes to know as to when the reaction is complete?) Think and then it passes in deodenum where
the acid pard is nrutralized by bile so it takes time so at that time spleen is taing interest in
transforming and transporting the p[art of the food to to small intestine after complete reaction of
neutralization is finished atsmall intestine on the villi of the internal surface food is further digested
and absorbed so friend it is a matter of time and who decides it ? Thik there are special sensors and
arrangements for that so the diffienernce is stomach rottens and ripens and small intstine ansorbs
and separates
There's an old saying: “Breakfast like a king; lunch like a prince; dinner like a pauper.” Make the first
meal of your day your biggest, and only eat three meals a day.
Likewise ur breakfast should like a king. It should be heavy because stomach organ is most active at
that time. whereas lunch like a prince because that time small intestine organ is most active. So our
food should be lighter than breakfast. & evening stomach organ energy is minimum so it advisable to
eat like a pauper.
No by that time the lungs function of despersing and descending is over so it does not require much
energy but still some bank balance is there for emergency.
(India requires teachers so all f you become good teachers after getting knowledge. I am there to elp
all no woories)
I Ching the book of changes, every second in the universe there's a changes. every second there is changes
in yourself of the body. Every second all the universe are changing. This book I Ching is a guide for
assessing that future for that there is a book called I Ching Book of change. in this there are 64 icons called
Hexagrams. hexagrams are produced by triagrams. then how to produce triagrams we will come to our
lectures. So this Hexagrams have some quantity of Yin an yang. and each Hexagram it has a quality or
something written in that about that Hexagram. for that matter we have to pro dies scions we should have
3 coins with had and tell. So when you pro this coins we will guide some about it. I Ching has 6 methods of
healing we will compare it with Drtangs method.
Day 2:
we will learn the chinese names of the merifdians as these are very imp for this course
In the first diagram you see the blue lines starting from LI point 1which starts from the second finger
ends at the nose still LI 20 at the side of nose. Just from there Point ST1 starts below the eyes and
ends in the foot . So both these channels are Yang Channels. that means both these channels having
the same energy. These channels called Yang Ming Channel.
In The middle of the diagram TW 1 point. It goes and ends at the side of the eye. Now from the sides
of the eye GB starts. TW, GB are pairs. Are called Shao Yang.
Third One SI Channel SI1 starts from the corner of the little finger. And ends at the corner of the little
finger of the foot. You can see all these points starts some area and ends some area which are
actually similar in looking. Therefore These channels are called Big Channels. So we have know 3 big
channels ie Hand and Foot Yang Ming (LI and ST), Hand and Foot Shao Yang (TW,GB), Hand and Foot
Tai Yang ie.Greater Yang (SI,UB67)
Tai yim thumb and Toe
Shaoyin little finger and bottom of the foot and gue yn middle finger and big toe but the distribution
is similar to hand palm
You can see the distribution of the yin channels on Hand and Foot. So here you can see Tai Yin ie.
LU,SP they are starts and ends at the Thumb and Toe. You can see the difference with Yellow line
and Red Line. And then PC, LV also in the middle that is Jue Yin and Shao Yin HT,KD. So LU, SP are big
channels, KD,HT are also Big channels. PC,LV also big channels. So if you have a problem with PC you
can treat with LV channel. That is due to its communication between meridians.
See the table (Latetopostetial aspect of the 4 extremities (2hands, 2foots) : ie. Lateral and
posterial :When you stand your palms facing the body. The out side is posterior and lateral
Yang Ming is best for treat paralysis.)
In the clinic, ask the patient to use one finger to point to the painful area. So that healer can pinpoint
the exact location of discomfort & make an accurate diagnosis. The pain may be located on the
meridian, between meridians or may cover 2 or more meridians.
When patient can show the healer an exact location, then to diagnose the affected meridians
becomes easier.
Friends in some cases, first step is very crucial. If affected meridian diagnosis is incorrect, then there
will be little or no results.
So, friends to diagnose sick meridian, you should know the primary pathways of the respective
meridians which we have already seen yesterday.
If the patient has headache it is very imp to find out where the pain is located. It it is frontal
headache the meridians crossing a forehead need to be identified.
If the parietal headache then meridians on the side of the head need to be identified.
So it is all about the location. Corrrectly dignosing the afffected meridian is very imp in first stage
Suppose the pain is above the ey exactly in he middle then the sick meridian is Gall bladder
Suppose the pain is on the upper chest lateral side then the sick meridian is lung
If the pain is in between the two meridians on the thigh then what we should do? It will come in the
due couse
Pain below knee is in between two meridians
Step 2:-Determine treating meridians based on the five systems of tan balance
After the sick meridians are diagnosed, the next step is to decide, which meridians to needle using
the Balance Method.
One or more of the following systems can be utilized to create balance & reduce pain.
So now we will study each & every system step by step:-
Ans: TW
(Gb ie foot shao yang can balance with the hand shao yang ie TW)
if there is problem with hand yangming them what is be the balancing meridian?
friends pls tell first sick meridian then balancing meridian
