CAP
An Introduction
Corpians Animation Program ( CAP) is the program designed to identify, sharpen and

animate the latent skills of Corpians, the students of the Department of Corporate

Secretaryship of the New College.

Its developed from the belief of the department that everyone of its students are

blessed with latent talents which may be diverse in nature.

The department has ventured in to this program with a view to horne their talents and

make it presentable in the most desirable form for the employment market.

The main focus is to develop their leadership skills particularly their communication,

confidence and organising skills.

How CAP works?

The department has a two tier mechanism to carry out the tasks intended under this

program.

1. Corpians Board and Various clubs

There are different clubs created at the department level which carries out various

activities where talents of the corpians are brought out / spotted and training given.

A department students council called Corpians Board of Directors ( Shortly called

Corpians Board) works under the leadership of a CEO assisted by an Additional CEO.

3
Both of them are third year corpians who were selected on the basis of the leadership

skills displayed by them in the first two years of their stay in the college. The board will

have all the leaders ( Directors) of the various department clubs and leaders and

assistant leaders of all the three classes ( I, II and III B. Com C. S)

The clubs of the department includes the Talent Club, CSR club, Sports club,

Competitive Exam Club, Corpians Business Incubators ( CBI) etc .

This Corpians Board will plan, organise and coordinate all the activities of the

department on the advice of the faculties of the department. It also will monitor the

activities of the various teams and help them in case of need to carry out their activities.

The board will recognize teams through monthly awards and publishing the activities

in the CAP newsletter.

2. Seven Different Mentor Teams :

The students of the entire department is divided in to 7 different teams. The board

members will not be part of the teams.

Each team is headed by a mentor from the third year and an assistant mentor from the

second year.

Six members of third year will be part of the governing body of each team. Ten

students each from first year and second years( totalling 20) will be part of each team.

All competions will be between these seven teams and points will be given for each

team. The best team every month will get the Star mentoring team award based on the

overall points scored for the month.

A pointing system taking in to account all the activities of the department is designed

for the above purpose.

Besides the best team award, special prizes will be given for the outstanding mentee

from each team for the month, best mentor award etc.

Each team will have an Environment policy to shape it's activities

A newsletter called CAP newsletter will be published every month to record and

recognize the activities of CAP.

CORPIANS

It’s the practise of the Corpians to organise a Talent Hunt

programme at the beginning of every academic year to hunt out

the latest talents available among the freshers. Corpians Talent

Hunt is the platform available to the first year Corpians to

showcase their talents. The department teams for the various

inter-Collegiate events are selected based on the performances at

this event. To encourage more first-years to take to the stage,

third-years did not take part in the event. Instead they guided

and instructed their junious to break the stage fear and put in

display their talents.

This Talent Hunt programme was conducted on 24th and 25th of

July 2019. The first day saw competitions in the form of debate,

PowerPoint Presentation and JAM. Shipwreck, Adzap and

Corporate Walk were conducted on the following day. Alumni

Corpians joined the programme as judges.

Team 1 and Team 6 jointly shared the overall throphy. Dr. Abdul
