Logotherapy occurs as the ideology of human beings are motivated by searching for the meaning
in life system which implies understanding the meaning of life forms the biggest question on
people’s minds as well as existing as the most significant stressor in the individuals’ psyches.
According to Frankl (1963, p. 390), the concept was formulated by Viktor Frankl in which he
established its three critical pillars based on the man's nature of existence. Such pillar includes
the meaning of life, the will to meaning as well as freedom of will (Frankl, 1963, p. 390).
Logotherapy explains that freedom of will possesses the current situation of man determinism
since talking about the freedom to maintain lack meaning of infinite freedom. On the same note,
the freedom of a man never originates from the conditions, instead of the privilege to take his
stand on different encountered constitutions.
Logotherapy mainly aims at finding the association between the patients’ spirit and their health
together with surround individuals which takes away the mental and spiritual blockage.
Furthermore, the concept allows self-detachments of the man's situation and from himself hence
selecting the attitude towards his personality (Frankl, 1963, p. 392). As a result, the man takes
his stand on prevailing psychic and somatic situations together with available determinants. Such
objectives of the Logotherapy results in its application in various conditions involve different
patients in clinical setups (Frankl, V. E. (1963, p. 392). For instance, it is employed when the
patients are encountering extensional frustration in which they face various difficulties leading to
the quest for a purpose (Frankl, (1963, p. 391). The types of man's quests for these cases could
get blocked based on the individual’s trauma or the conditions hence Logotherapy solving issues
of corrupt efforts, frustration and internal conflicts of various patients. Logotherapy differs from
other kinds of psychotherapy based on facts that it focuses on the future but not on past as in
cases of different types of psychotherapy hence concentrating on what to be fulfilled in the
future.
