ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
We the members of project are highly thankful for introducing such an
existing way of developing our knowledge regarding the project development. We
take pleasure in presenting the report of our project work entitled developing of
Bucket Wheel Digging Machine.
First and foremost we would like to express our deepest sense of gratitude
and sincere thanks to our Project guide Prof. Jalpesh H. Solanki for their support
and timely co-operation.
We are also thankful for those people who directly or indirectly helped us in
project whose names not mentioned.

In our design there are number of bucket fitted on cutter periphery. They
give immediate digging. Else in machine hydraulic mechanism placed for proper
functioning of movement for rotor Assembly.
And This machine can also have easy controls for neccesary movements.
While any other machines it takes too much focused for movements in particular
Direction.
(2)Also for fine coal loading in train wegons one jcb needed to work too
much.also that machine need to work precisely.
(3)For lake renovation or say lake enlargement also bulldozers used.it also
contains lots off heavy work.
1.4 Literature
We had seen some video related to mountain cutter so, which makes us to
think in small areas digging. Whereas which applicable in place of JCB.
And then we go through with paper Prototype, and yes it worked properly.
Then we leads to build our actual prototype.

CHAPTER 2 : DESIGN
2.1 Design Methodology
Buckets are mounted on periphery of wheel. When we start the machine then
the bucket wheel start to digging work.
2) Design of Buckets :
Diameter : 2.5 cm
Length : 4.5 cm
= 2*3.14*1.25*4.5
= 35.325 cm^3/bucket
= 3*35.325
= 105.975 cm^3
3) Claculate for velocities required for rotation of Cylinder
V'= (π*D*N)/60
= 23.45 cm/s
= 300
In theorytical calculation:
V'' = (π*D*N)/60
= (3.14*14*300)/60
= 243.35 cm/s
Here , we rotates both spiral and main cylinder (which attached with buckets) in
opposite direction for builed relative motion. It is really works and provide better
removal rate.
V = V' + V"
= 23.45 + 243.35
= 266.8 cm/s

CHAPTER 3: IMPLEMENTATION
- Our first Prototype of peoject which made from paper sheet and pvc
pipe.
-
We attached four buckets on given cylindrical pipe.
2)
4.1 ADVANTAGES
It is possible that our model can replace today's machinery for particular
purpose. Indeed, it can do this in many areas specifically coal loading, mining,
Material Excavation, Land digging.
Also, in further research on this machine can improve it's efficiency and also
get better work from our project.
• SPIRAL MECHANISM
Actually we watched videos related to water piping from low level to high
level via screw mechanism. And we implemented that principle here for material
handling as happenes in case of water.
• NUMBER OF BUCKETS
Also we have idea about coal Transportation to the plant at higher distances
via Train Wegons. The coal loaded in wegon with using of bulldozers, we think it
can also replace with our machine for reduction of time loss, precise controls and
loading issues.
• HYDRAULIC MECHANISM
