    A linear equation can be graphed in two ways:

    Q1. Graph each equation by using the 𝑥 − and the 𝑦 − intercepts.
    a. 𝑥 − 𝑦 = −3
    b. 𝑦 = 8 – 6𝑥

    Q2. Graph each equation by making a table.


    a. 𝑦 − 8 = −𝑥
    b. 2𝑥 − 3 = 4𝑦 + 6

    Q3. Amir drove from Jerusalem down to the lowest place on Earth, the Dead Sea, descending at a
    rate of 12 meters per minute. He was at Sea Level after 30 minutes of driving.
    Graph the relationship between Amir’s altitude relative to sea level (in meters) and time (in minutes).
    Q4. A movie theatre charges AED 30 for admission before 2 p.m. and AED 40 for admission after 2
    p.m. On Friday, the park took in a total of AED 15,000.
    a. Write an equation that represents the number of admissions that may have been sold. Let x
    represent the admissions sold before 2 p.m., and let y represent the admissions sold after 2
    p.m.
    b. Graph the equation.
    c. Find the x- and y-intercepts of the graph. What does each intercept represent?
