    I have taken an active part in setting up the Business Banking (SME) division in Egypt. I was
    responsible for drafting the Business Banking credit Policy. I was also involved in the negotiation,
    drafting & approval of insurance, external asset Valuator & External Credit Investigator contracts.
    During drafting the policy I have visited several HSBC Group offices such as Abu Dhabi, Dubai &
    London to obtain information about Business Banking in said locations. I have also designed,
    tailored & delivered HBEG SME Master-class course that have been delivered to around 70 HSBC
    employees. Currently, I head the credit section of the Business Banking department

    Responsibilities include but not limited to:


    - Setting credit objectives/or budget in terms of new acquisitions & generic growth in line with the
    general bank policy.
    - Setting and following up targets of Business Banking credit officers.
    - Revise/approve cases prepared by the credit officers, to ensure that the conducted risk
    assessment coincides with the bank’s policy/objectives and that the bank’s interest is best
    preserved
    - Maintain strong liaison with borrowing and non-borrowing corporate customers to identify and fulfill
    uncovered banking needs as well as entangle possible business opportunities.
    - Maximize account profitability through enhancing non-funded income and ancillary business
    - Increase internal efficiency through elimination of overdue reviews, missing securities and
    exception returns
    - Supervise the SME workflow to ensure smooth & efficient process.
