Course Code METRES 030 Credit Units Three (3) Units
Course Title METHODS OF RESEARCH
Course Description For managers and entrepreneurs, the inputs of information are the basis for
decisions and the designs of corporate systems. As such, research as applied to Business
Management is instrumental to assist managers in making more responsible decisions. The
basic intention of this course is to sharpen critical thinking processes by studying and
applying scientific methods to problem solving. Major topics covered include problem
identification, research design, data collection methods, sample design, data analysis and
interpretation, report preparation, and the ethics of business research. At the end of this
course, it is expected that the MBA student will be able to understand and eventually
accomplished a Feasibility Study, Industry Study, Corporate Strategy, Marketing Plan,
Business Plan, Project Study and an Academic thesis. In this way, the students are being
prepared for one of their MBA requirements.
