TEACHING APPROACHES:
The students enrolled in this course will be categorized according to the availability of internet
connection and gadgets to be used for distance learning.
Category A ( with appropriate gadgets and stable internet connection)
Category B ( with appropriate gadgets but no stable internet connection)
Category c ( without appropriate gadgets but no stable internet connection)
CATEGORY A
1. Pure online teaching approach will be implemented with the use of google classroom.
Synchronous and asynchronous instructions will also be used to conduct tesaching.
Evaluation of the students’ performance will be based on the major examininations and
activities online.
CATEGORY B
1. Asynchronous mode of instructions will be used to conduct teaching and facilitate
learning. Electronic o digital learning materials will be provided to them. Google
classroom will also be used as the circumstances permit. Evaluation of the students’
performance will be based on the major examininations and modular activities.
CATEGORY C
1. Modular mode of teaching will be used. Learners will be provided with printed modules
for their learning. Evaluation of the students’ performance will be based on the major
examininations and modular activities.
COURSE GUIDELINES:
1. Students will be added on Google Classroom, regardless of their internet connectivity
and availability of their gadgets for classlist purposes.
2. All the learners will also be added to the Facebook Messenger group chat created by the
subject instructor that serves a medium for getting in contact with the students.
3. Readings and Assignments : Regular completion of the assigned readings BEFORE &
AFTER each class should be part of the students’strategy to maximize the value of the
course to them especially those who belong to CATEGORY A. Punctuality in submission
of assigned reports is a must.
4. Lectures : Class lectures will attempt to discuss, illustrate, amplify and expound on
assigned readings. Powerpoint or transparencies will be used as lecture aids. Lectures
supplement, but do not replace, the detailed readings of assigned materials.
5. Group Assignments : Group tasks shall involve a designated report and responsibility for
answering all the exercises after each topic. While group assignments require equal
inputs from members, any individual in the group may be tasked to expound on an
assigned topic. Nonreporting groups are expected to comment on reports being presented.
6. Course Requirements
Attendance : An alert, inquisitive presence in each and every class is mandatory
for CATEGORY A students. Attendance for CATEGORIES B and C Students will be
based on the on-time submission of their weekly modular tasks or assignments .
Quizzes -To test students understanding on the subject matter, seat works and
quizzes will be given. Quizzes can either be announced or unannounced.
Recitations, Assignments, and seatwork-It is important not to get behind in
turning in assignments/take home activities/researches. Late assignments/take
home activities/researches will be considered but will be severely penalized and
may not be graded except to note that the assignment was being passed.
Assignments take home activities/researches that will be submitted be student’s
own work. It is fine to talk to other students and to get assistance in how to do

something, but students should not ask fellow students to actually do the work for
him/her.
Grading Policy:
Periodic exam 40%, Class standing 60% (Recitation 25%, Quizzes 15%, Seatwork and
Assignment 10%, Attendance 10%)
In order to earn a passing grade, the student should get a transmuted grade of 75%
