    CONTRACT TERMS & CONDITIONS

    Dear Applicant,

    Thank you for applying for the position of “Content Writer” at Ink & Ivory. Before we can initiate the
    hiring process, please make sure to understand the following terms and conditions listed below.

    1. This is a remote job however it is a full time commitment. We will offer yearly salary slips and a
    letter of recommendation for those that leave us in good faith after becoming full time
    employees. Should you be selected for this position, you will have a reference as well as
    experience to add to your resume.

    2. We will assign you tasks depending on your ability and skill. You can take up as many tasks as
    you like per week and choose your working hours. However, once you’ve been assigned a task,
    you will have about 18 to 24 hours to complete it.

    3. The task details will be shared with you prior to assigning the task. You will know the topic,
    word count, deadline and any other details necessary for completing the task, well in advance.

    4. You can choose which tasks to accept and which tasks to reject depending on how comfortable
    you feel in your ability to complete the task within the given timeline. We highly recommend
    that you DO NOT accept tasks you feel are not in your expertise.

    5. We offer guidance, counseling and training for up and coming writers. We can groom you to be
    better than you are and teach you the art of SEO based articles as well as keyword placement.
    Skills that are highly in demand in the market of content writing.

    6. Should you be shortlisted, you will work with a team of other writers and expected to respond
    quickly and efficiently with updates while in the middle of doing tasks.

    7. You will be required to provide at least one revision per task for the sake of customer
    satisfaction. (where necessary)

    8. You will be required to thoroughly proofread your work before submitting it to make sure it
    does not contain any spelling or grammatical errors.

    9. We are NOT a freelancing forum. We are a corporation with a remote work culture. You will be
    required to attend bi-monthly team meetings & monthly 1-1s with your designated manager
    while you are employed with Ink & Ivory. These meetings will be held online and you will be
    informed about them 24 hours in advance. Your attendance in these meetings will be
    mandatory.

    10. You will be required to check your work against any plagiarism checker to ensure that it does
    not contain any plagiarism even coincidentally. We recheck our writers’ work against grammarly
    and if any work is found containing plagiarism of more than 7%, we will not pay for said task.

    11. We try to pay for each and every task however payment is dependent on client’s approval.
    However, we do not reject payment without providing proof of the task’s rejection from the
    client himself/herself.

    12. We understand that sometimes clients are difficult and if your task passes the plagiarism test,
    does not contain any spelling or grammatical errors and follows the instructions provided by the
    client initially, we will clear payment for it even if the client has rejected it.

    13. Failure to submit a task within the given deadline will result in automatic rejection and no
    payment will be made for it.

    14. Our payment method is through bank transfer only.

    15. We will clear payments on a monthly basis. However, in order to build trust, we will clear the
    payment for the first task you complete with us, right after you’ve submitted it.

    16. You are liable for an increment in your pay-rate at the end of one employment year. At the
    moment our pay rates are as follows:
    - Content writing: PKR 0.5 per word.
    - Academic writing: PKR 1 per word.
    - Rephrasing & rewriting: PKR 0.25 per word.

    17. We will keep a record of your invoice through google sheets. The template will be shared with
    you and you will be required to update it regularly. We follow strict SOPs to ensure that writers
    are being compensated fairly for each task.

    18. You will be expected to write on diverse niches and topics however guidance and training will be
    offered for those fields where you feel you aren’t best suited to.

    19. Ink & Ivory reserves the right to terminate your contract if you fail to comply with the
    abovementioned terms & conditions.
    METHOD OF APPLICATION
    If you agree to all the terms and conditions listed above and feel like you would make an excellent
    addition to our team of highly skilled writers then we would love to consider your application. In order
    to apply, please make sure to do the following:

    - The subject of your email should be as follows: Your Full Name – Content Writer
    Application.
    - Your email should contain a signed & dated copy of this contract.
    - Your email should FIRST answer the following question in 50 to 75 words. No more than
    that. “What is your favourite city outside of Pakistan & why?”
    - Your email should contain your best sample article from any work you’ve done previously.
    Add this sample as an attachment in the email.
    - There is no need for introductions. We are not concerned with your years of experience, age
    or education. Only your skill in writing.

    If you are shortlisted, you will receive a follow up email from us soon in which we will ask for further
    details required to create your employee profile with our company. We look forward to hearing from
