A Walk Through Poverty
The purpose of my essay is to inform everyone the situation of others that some people are not living like us.

My audience are the students and my teacher.

Poverty is a very serious thing and each time someone’s gets richer while someone’s dies of starvation,
because of being poor. And a lot of this are kids. Maybe, we don’t even realize, but there’s a lot of kids growing up in
poverty just like what you saw, kids in the street with dirty clothes and begging us to give them money and foods.

Poverty is not having enough material possessions or income for a person’s need. According to UN poverty
exceeds more that the mere lack of these abilities. Many government and non-governmental organizations try to
reduce poverty by providing basic needs to people who are unable to earn a sufficient income. According to the
UNDP, nearly a half of the world’s population, more than 3 billion people, live on less than $2.50 or if we convert it in
peso it’s only 72.00 a day. Also, more than 1.3 billion live in extreme poverty (less than $1.25 or 60.00 a day). Over 1
billion children worldwide living in poverty,. According to UNICEF 22,000 children die each day due to poverty.

Growing up in poverty is extremely difficult. We would not have appropriate garments, food, water and
shelters. The food you eat won't have appropriate supplements. You don't get a dinner threefold per day. The
garments you wear would be all filthy and torn. The water would be totally polluted. Every one of these prompts
different risky illnesses. Destitution is caused because of dark cash, debasement, helpless agribusiness and
developing populace. Destitution effectively affects the nation. It prompts Ignorance, expanding number of deaths,
child work and so forth. We as a whole should make strides against destitution. Ranchers ought to get all offices for
water system, government should make different plans that would treat poor people, teach poor people, house the
poor and so forth. Individuals like us can't envision that it is so hard to live in neediness.

Poverty affects education why? Just like me I was in a private school , my family can afford the fees in that
school but do you know some children and teens were not living like my life or others life whose parents are both
have jobs. Some of them can’t get to any schools and yes there are public school but there are additional costs for
uniforms, book and transportations. A poor family would not be able to pay all that and also every kid would need
materials. Some governments of countries spend a low share of their GDP on education. Poverty is a huge thing, we
don’t even realize that. Maybe we don’t even notice that poverty can changed lives.

Poverty is a sense of deprivation which has wide range of effects on individual be it emotional,
social, economical or political one feels the crunch each and every moment of her life. It Lowers
confidence thus Inhibits attitude and aptitude leading to feeling of depression. It affects one economically
and socially as leading to Hunger malnutrition. Poor life expectancy educational backwardness thus one is
engulfed with Sorrow and rejection. One is isolated from Society leading to lesser political participation no
awareness of Common freedoms, Sacred Rights , Natural Rights , thus is unable to contribute to society.
Mental trauma forces one to vicious cycle of Negativity and Failures which one is unable to coup up and
might lead to suicides, crimes or other social harm.

“Poverty is the worst form of violence.”  — Mahatma Gandhi, Indian political and spiritual leader
