Karena data ukuran utama kapal yang baru didapatkan dari kapal yang tidak didesain
dengan baik, menghasilkan korelasi yang tidak bagus, dengan nilai korelasi Lpp = 0,5299; B
= 0,3095; H=0,3999; dan T = 0,3469. Rentang data kapal berkisar dari DWT 500 ton - 5391
ton dari DWT yang diminta 3520 Ton. Untuk mendapatkan korelasi yang baik setidaknya
bernilai 0,8-0,9 (semakin mendekati 1 semakin baik) dan range DWT 20% dari yang
diminta. SPOB adalah kapal yang menyerupai kapal tanker namun dengan kapasitas yang
tidak besar dan digunakan jarak dekat, tidak heran jika tiap negara hanya sedikit yang
memiliki SPOB sehingga kami mengalami kesulitan dalam mencari data kapal SPOB untuk
dijadikan kapal pembanding.
