    NEWSLETTER FOR NOVEMBER - DECEMBER 2010


    CLASS XII

    Dear Parents,
    Welcome to another activity buzzed phase of the academic year with examination knocking at the door. We seek your
    cooperation in getting children geared up for a steady performance.

    Syllabus

    The syllabus for the month of November 2010 is given in the Academic Support Booklet.

    Tuition Fee and Bus Fee

    • To avoid any inconvenience, please ensure that the tution fee and the bus fee for the months of December 2010 -
    January 2011 is paid by the 10 December 2010 and for February – March 2011 by 10 January 2011. Please refer to
    page number 13 of Almanac for further details.

    Attendance

    It is compulsory for all students to come to school regularly. Students need to complete 75% attendance by 31st
    January 2011 otherwise they will not be allowed to appear for AISSCE – 2011.

    Examination Schedule

    • The Second Term Examinations are scheduled from Friday; 26 November 2010 to Wednesday, 8 December
    2010. Students will be tested only on theory. The syllabus for the second term examination will be the portion
    covered after half yearly examination.
    • Thursday, 25 November 2010 will be a Preparatory Leave for the students.
    • Practical for Pre-board Examinations will be conducted in the month of December after the Second Term theory
    exams.
    • The Pre-board Examinations are scheduled from Monday, 10 January 2011 to Friday, 21 January 2011.
    In pre-boards the entire syllabus will be tested.
    • The examination will get over at 11.00 a.m. Students can leave after the exam. They are required to communicate
    for the same through Almanac, as informed earlier.
    • The Date Sheet for the Second Term Examination is as follows

    After Second term exams, answer sheets will be returned to the students by Tuesday,14 December 2010 for parents
    to see the performance of their ward.

    Winter Break

    • The school will remain closed on account of Winter Break from Monday, 27
    December 2010 to Friday, 07 January 2011.
    • The school reopens on Monday, 10 January 2011.

    School Activities

    • DPS Rohini will host an Inter DPS Dance Festival “Samanvay” on Saturday, 18 December 2010.
    • Investiture Ceremony – Thursday 23 December 2010.
    Kindly Note

    • There will be no change in the winter timings. The school timings will be from 7.30 a.m. to 1.45 p.m.
    • Wearing of winter uniform is optional from Monday, 1 November 2010. Full winter uniform is compulsory from
    Monday, 15 November 2010.
    • House Scarves are to be worn on every Thursday and Friday (the assembly days)
    • Students are not allowed to carry books other than text books or library books. Magazines, VCDs, DVDs,
    cameras and cell phones are not to be brought to school.
    • It is not advisable to bring valuable articles (like expensive watches and items of jewellery) to school.
    • Any change of Address, Telephone Number etc. must be brought to the notice of Class Teacher immediately.
    • Students must wear their Identity Cards to school daily.
    • Ensure that the child carries the School Almanac daily.
    • Parents must bring the school Identity Card with them whenever they visit the school.
    • Any Application sent to school must be addressed to “The Principal” on an A-4 clean white sheet, giving the name of
    the student, class, section and admission number. It should be duly signed by the parent giving the name of the parent.
    • It has been noticed that students are taking undue advantage of the school clinic. Please note that the school clinic is
    meant to provide only “First Aid”.
