JOB TITLE: Project Manager
DEPARTMENT: EMEA CSMB Services & Support
GRADE: C1/C2
REPORTING TO: PMO for EMEA CSMB Services & Support
JOB PURPOSE
Working for Consumer & Small & Medium Business (CSMB) Services & Support Project Management team
(PMO), this position involves working with one or many departments both directly in or connected to CSMB
Services & Support; including Call Centre Operations, Capacity Planning, Product Management, Revenue,
Online, Retail, Telecoms, IT, Field Delivery etc.
This position will actively work on projects (requested by the CSMB Services &Support management team as
well as external teams) which will facilitate the business attaining and surpassing its fiscal goals.
The responsibilities for this role in EMEA include leading the management and execution of cross-functional
projects across many countries. This includes developing project goals that support the business objectives and
developing and executing plans to meet the goals. It also includes identifying and implementing process and
productivity improvements.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Develop plans for one or more large projects or a number of simultaneous smaller projects, ensuring
that plans are in line with the overall CSMB objectives
• Control, monitor and report progress against project plans, communicating issues as appropriate
ensuring project objectives are delivered on time and to budget
• Manage major risks and issues through effective contingency plans and proper escalation
• Responsible for meeting/exceeding all milestones & deliverables
• Lead project teams and manage and motivate project teams to meet cost and time targets and
maximize individual and team performance
• Ensure resources are managed effectively, negotiating additional resources if required to ensure
programme / project success
• Schedule and run all phase reviews and project reviews
• Act as a point of referral for colleagues providing specialist expertise and ensuring any broader
implications are recognized and communicated
Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES
• Good working knowledge of formal project management methodologies e.g. PRINCE, PMP
• Experience of managing several projects concurrently
• Organizing and planning skills
• Priority setting and decision making skills
• Facilitation skills to lead meetings
• Skilled in MS Office products and MS Project software
• Strong initiative and ability to work in a self-directed environment
• Ability to communicate clearly through oral and written communications
• Ability to be flexible and multi-task in a dynamic environment
• Ability to work with a multi-lingual, multi cultural, multi-location team
• Ability to lead extended project teams and meet deadlines
• Detailed and goal focused
• Fluent in both written and oral English
