A. Student Welfare Services

Information, Orientation and Awareness

Provide information and orientation materials (brochures, handouts,


orientation packet, learning packets, guidebook, etc.) available to
students, conduct synchronous and asynchronous sessions designed to
facilitate student adjustment to life in higher education

B. Student Development Services

• recognize, supervise and monitor student groups and organizations including


the evaluation of their activities

• conduct programs and opportunities to develop and enhance leadership


effectiveness in the personal level and student organizations, emphasizing
student leadership role in the new normal.

• recognize Student Council/Government that represents the student body duly


organized and elected at large by the students themselves, with due
recognition and authority from the HEI as the students’ official representative.

One of the goals of the OSAS is to provide avenues to hone student’s talents
and interest to ensure social and cultural growth through STUDENT
DEVELOPMENT SERVICES.

Student Enhancement Activity

Through one of OSAS various Units is committed to the conduct of the following
different Student Enhancement Activities to prepare the students gain
leadership and confidence and ready them for actual employment world:

✓ Online Leadership Training for students


✓ Online Orientation Program for Student Organization
✓ Online Recognition Program for Student Organization

Student Enhancement Activity

✓ All University organizations shall be directly under the supervision of the


Student Development Services unit of the Office of Student Affairs and
Services

✓ Every student organization shall have one or more faculty advisers


recommended by such organizations and approved by the Dean of Student
Affairs

B. Student Development Services

Student Enhancement Activity

✓ No student organization shall be allowed to operate without a constitution


and by-laws approved by the Office of Student Affairs and Services.

✓ No student organization that advocates physical contact as a form of


initiation or trial for membership shall be recognized by the University and
is, therefore, not allowed to operate on campus or any other campuses of
the University.

Admission Services

Scholarships and Financial Assistance
Provide assistance to student scholars with regards to their scholarship and financial aid
and ensure management, generation and/or allocation of funds for scholarship and
financial aid to deserving students.

Academic Scholarship Student Assistantship Scholarship


Granted to those students who obtained a Granted to students who desire to render work
general point average (GPA) of 1.75 or services to the University and receive remuneration
better in the previous semester. It is classified for services rendered while studying. Students are
as full scholarship if the student obtained a required to render 100 hours per month to the
GPA of 1.45 or better and partial office/ area/ unit they were assigned. Students are
scholarship obtained a GPA of 1.46- 1.75. given remuneration equivalent to P21.00 (subject
to change) per hour service rendered.

Government Scholarship
Given to students who qualified the qualifying scholarship criteria.

Private Scholarship
Granted to students who qualified the selection criteria of the sponsoring individuals and organizations.

CvSU State Scholarship


Granted to financially incapable but deserving students who excel in academic performance.

- Passed the examination given by the Scholarship and Financial Assistance Services Unit.
- Scholarship is classified as full if obtained a GPA of 1.50 or better and partial if he/ she obtained a
GPA of 1.51- 1.75.

Health Services
coordinate with University Health Services in providing primary health care and wellness
program.

Student Housing and Residential Services


provides assistance for students to ensure access to accommodation that is safe and
conducive to learning.

Multi-Faith Services
assist support free expression of one’s religious orientation in accordance with
institutional principles.

Foreign/International Students and Services for
Specific Students
• provide assistance to address the needs of foreign students. CvSU also
provides an integrated service program catering to the socio-psycho-
cultural, academic and non-academic needs of all international students.

• provide equal opportunities to students with disabilities, students belonging


to indigenous groups, students who are solo parents.
