Constraints
Feed all the animals under the given budget
Completely regain back all of the species that did survive
Section 3: For at least one of the sub-problems, propose two solutions based on the
information from the lesson and your additional research. In the rationale column,
explain how your solution restores the stability and biodiversity of your selected
ecosystem.
Section 4: Answer the following analysis questions about your proposed solutions.
1. Describe the ways your proposed solutions decrease the negative effects of
habitat destruction and human activity on your selected ecosystem. By
stopping the practice of fishing in that river area, it can restrict the
abundance of species from reducing in population. If fishing stops, then it
allows the animals to restart their reproductive cycle to increase their own
species population.
2. Describe the costs, safety, and reliability of your proposed solutions, as well
as any social, cultural, and environmental impacts your solutions address. To
temporarily restrict fishing at the area would require government-approved
projects. There would be consequences that would be a dead end in food
resources of seafood from the river.
4. How could you refine one of your proposed solutions to further reduce
environmental impact and loss of biodiversity while also addressing human
needs? By using a protected area, it may allow ecosystems to recover and
reestablish after the effect of natural impact. Fostering a healthy marine
ecosystem can lead to increased seafood production.
