Wrap a strand of D 70 times around a 12”
(30.5 cm) piece of cardboard. Cut one end.
Hold 3 strands together and fold in half
forming a loop at folded end. Beginning at
top of head between ears, draw loop through
center stitch, thread ends of strands through
loop and pull to tighten and secure. Repeat
to attach each 3-strand hank, evenly spaced
down center of head and neck.
Wrap a strand of C 36 times around an 18”
(45.5 cm) piece of cardboard. Cut one end.
Attach 3-strand hanks randomly and in same
manner as and between D-colored hanks.
Braid each C-colored hank to desired length;
tie and trim same as tail braids. For additional
shorter braids, wrap a strand of C around 12”
(30.5 cm) piece of cardboard 6 times, attach
and braid same as longer hanks. Cut three 15”
(38 cm) lengths of C, attach to forehead and
braid same as longer hanks.
