“ The Three Idiots “

( Reaction Paper )

When watching the movie called “ The Three Idiots ”, there are many things that I

learned from it. The importance of Friendship, Literacy, Enthusiasm, and Excellence. These are

the things that I visualize when watching the movie twice to be able to past schooling. A good

education that teach you the things necessary for you to know as a student. A passion for the

things that you want to attain in life without hesitation. You need excellence in everything you

do in everything you do. You need to excel on the things that you want to achieve. With all of

these qualities, schooling is nothing to be afraid of. As what the movie says it’s iconic line “AAL

IZZ WELL (All is Well)” telling us that to never be afraid on the problems because in every

problems there’s an answer to it.

On Friendship. Rancho is really a man’s greatest treasure. There are scenes where he

would do everything just for his friends and thinking others needs first before his needs is such a

true friend. Despite of his bubbly personality, he can still connect with Farhan and Raju deeply

that made them cry. It made me cry as well. And I know if you’re going to watch this film you

can’t stop because of their scenes. He taught Farhan to pursue his career in wildlife photography

while Raju to face his fear in the future.

“ Study with all your heart, not just for grades “

“ Study to be accomplished, not affluent “

“ Follow excellence and success will chase you “

These were the line that really captured my soul and captivated my heart by Rancho. This

lines makes me think that if you don’t want that don’t pursue on that like on how Farhan is good

at wildlife photography but bad in engineering. And the way he persuade Raju to overcome his

fear and live his life really pierced my heart so much to the point I was really enlightened by it.

On Literacy. Rancho believes that we can always transform the future by improving the

school system. As seen in the latter part of the movie, he showed this in his own unique way.

Also, Rancho challenged the method of grading. He said grades build a division, A Graders =

Masters and Slaves = C graders. He said this because their class would have a class photo after

the term, and those who succeed would sit in front and those with the lowest grades would sit in

the rear.

I share Rancho's viewpoint on education. One of the main reasons why I was glued to the

movie was this. It can, indeed, be thrilling and inspiring to read! While Rancho's methods and

values were unorthodox and Prof. Virus always scolded him, Prof. Virus was so vivid in his zeal

and good nature. Towards the end of the term, Virus gave the' pen' to Rancho. At the end of the

movie, even Chatur, who had competed wildly against Rancho, bowed down to him.

For passion. Quite frequently, rather than doing what our minds dictate, we mislead

ourselves by giving in to the demands of the people around us. We obey the existing norms of

society and disregard our true love. Dual failure results in this. We end up becoming mediocre

professionals in the sector we enter because, on the other hand, a potential talent is wasted in the

field that happens to be our true passion. An individual who has a passion for cooking joins an

engineering college and ends up becoming a mediocre engineer, while a successful chef is lost to
the hospitality industry. It is not easy to follow one's passion. So many losses we'll face. Keep in

mind, when you get bugged by a problem, put your hand in your heart and say, "All is well”.

Excellency. By looking at individuals who are considered to be good in life, we prefer to

establish those parameters of achievement. Instead of concentrating on competence in our

respective fields of service, we then channel all our resources towards following this supposed

notion of achievement. I have seen many good technologists changing gears to follow the aim of

being a boss in the managing of individuals. The end result is that we're losing a strong

technologist and getting a boss for bad people. As what Rancho said strive for excellence and

success will chase you.

In conclusion, the movie teaches us the importance of friendship and educations. Friends

whom you can lean and most of all education. Not just education alone but the education that we

can that we are proud of it because we love doing it not by force or for somebody else. Like me I

want to become a Medical Technologist that is why I want to pursue it. And to never be afraid of

committing mistakes because in every failure there’s always a success in it as what movie always

“All is Well”, no matter what problem we’ve been through we should never give up as long as

you are passionate then no one can stop you or me as a person.
