COURSE OUTLINE
7. Objectives:
Upon successful completion of the course, students will achieve:
7.1 Knowledge: Students will be able to:
understand the structure and style of academic writing, how to write the introductory
paragraph, how to write the paragraphs in coherence in the body and how to write the
conclusion in unity.
develop more academic words in various fields.

accumulate terminologies to write the texts relating to trends in the charts, and
graphs.
identify the requirements to meet in view to an academic essay.
know how to present a process to make a research and how to write an essay in
English at the level for college writing of an undergraduate student.
At the end of the course, students are expected to achieve writing skills at level BEC
Higher or IELTS 7.0
8. Course Description:
The course content involves two parts: Class meeting and Independent study.

Class meeting: Lecturers will provide students with theories and principles being applied
for academic essays. Students write essays partially in view to lecturers’ instructions.
