QUESTION 1: What are the different types of tests you perform during the selection
process?

ANSWER: We take different tests for different job profiles, but 3 of them are common for
all profiles. They are-

 Aptitude test
 Written test
 Personality test

QUESTION 2: What type of interviews do you conduct for the selection process of a
candidate?

ANSWER: We conduct unstructured interviews (non-directive). We plan set of questions


already, but switch it according to candidate.

QUESTION 3: What is your selection criterion?

ANSWER: The selection criteria of the company are -

 Education level
 Work experience
 Communication skills
 Confidence, passion and presence of skill sets

QUESTION 4: How do you determine whether the applicant will fit into your
organizational culture or not?

ANSWER: We determine the applicant will fit into our organizational culture or not by
asking the right questions, ask candidates to spend time in the office, by arranging informal
meetups and through situational judgement tests.

After the interview with the HR Manager of Tech Mahindra for talent acquisition team and
after interacting with her it can be concluded recruiters cannot deny the fact that there have
been changes in the way they advertise for job opportunities. Even as employees embrace the
new ways of recruiting, one has to come up with a strategy that ensures that the employees
are retained for a long time. One also needs to look for a way to recruit candidates
successfully and within a short time.

A good recruitment process gives all qualified people an equal chance to apply for the job
and be evaluated if they fit in the position. There are many options available so one needs to
choose the one that suits the position they are recruiting for and your budget. With a well
thought out strategy, one can attract and retain top talent for a long time. It is therefore
important for the company to revolutionize the way they recruit to align it with modern
