 PREPPY & WARM Puffer everything!!

For this Fall/Winter 2021/22 trend, we see

lots of preppy prints like houndstooth and
plaid paired with preppy silhouettes like
shoulder pads, midi skirts, and button up
shirt jackets. We also see TONS of vest and
sweater vest. The biggest part of this trend is
the long almost puffer like jackets, paired
with many outfits. These jackets featured
different styles like shoulder pads or more Preppy Print
relaxed fit but in a preppy print and with a and silhouette
puffer flair.

COLORS

These colors are the perfect mix of warm and cool tones. We can see the “After Midnight” and
“Winery” colors represented in many traditional preppy styles and trends. I love the mix of
“Perfectly Pale” and “First Blush” that help modernize the trend and bring a nice feminie touch.
“Olive Branch” is normally a fall/winter color, but we see it in this trend played out differently
than ever before. All of these colors can so easily blend and compliment each other in many
different styles.

The fashion forecasters at Who What Wear say vested interest has peaked
beginning in last September. People are layering the knitted sweater vests
over turtlenecks, t-shirts, dresses, and skirts in any way they possibly can.
They believe this trend is here to stay especially for Fall 2021. Designers
such as à la Jason Wu, Bevza, and PH5.

The fashion forecasters at Refinery29 think Not-So-Preppy Polos

are trending again. They have been popular in previous seasons
and will continue to be a trend in Fall & Winter 2021/22. These
breathable polo knits hold a more relaxed shape and a lot of
neutral colors. This trend can be seen paired with wide leg jeans
and sneakers for a more casual look.

After the Netflix phenomenon called Bridgerton
premiered in December of 2020, 19th-century fashion
trends have resurfaced and are going to make a big
appearance in Fall & Winter 2021/22 trends. This fashion
theme includes corset tops, midi dresses, extravagant
headpieces and many silhouettes with the mixture of
tightness around the torso, puffy sleeves or skirts and

The fashion forecasters at Popsugar are saying this new trend is allowing a
“fanciful departure” from the face masks and sweats that everyone has
been wearing for the past year now. They included that Designers such as, Meanwhile, The fashion
Zimmerman, Simone Rocha, Alice + Olivia, Maiden Name, and Danielle forecasters at Who What
Frankel have all included “the elegance and grandeur of the {Bridgerton} Wear touched on the
cast’s wardrobe” in their upcoming Fall & Winter 2021/22 lines. Bridgerton Effect and how
this fandom has taken over
the world. They explain that
the Bridgerton aesthetic is
emerging in eveningwear
looks from Prabal Gurung
and Markarian with “corsets,
floral prints, and dainty bow
ties that define the look.”
