    The Dalaguete I District Catambisan Elementary School held their District GSP Encampment from November 22-24, 2019 at the Dalaguete Central Elementary School. Over 20 elementary schools participated in the encampment. Activities over the three days included morning exercises, games, a campfire ceremony, and a clean-up drive. On the final day, schools were awarded for their performances before everyone packed up and returned home with new lessons learned that can be applied to their everyday lives.

    NARRATIVE REPORT on District GSP Encampment


    Scouting is a value laden activity which is very important part of student’s life. It builds a
    character that is useful to the community and the society. It imparts learning and teaches skills
    that are useful in the daily life. The learning that being taught in scouting helps the individual
    student to be fruitful and beneficial in nation building.

    To make scouting enjoyable, the scouting activities are thoroughly prepared in order that the
    scouters will not forget the experiences that they will encounter during the camping activities.
    Every preparation from the opening, up to the campfire celebration is unique that it makes the
    scouting activity a well- remembered activity to the pupils.

    On November 22- 24, 2019 the GSP District Encampment was held at Dalaguete Central
    Elementary School. There were 20 elementary school who participated and gathered.

    Day 1

    Gathered and prepared Scouts from different schools walk through and proceeds to DCES
    school ground for the camp lay-outing and opening program. The opening started with the
    entrance of colors contingent, then introduction of the participating schools , scouts and
    guests.

    Day 2

    A morning exercise opened the day. With different musics, they were exercising until they
    reduce sweat.

    On this day, the Girl Scout were involved in different games in the morning and this was
    continued in the afternoon. At night were the campfire ceremony.

    Day 3

    A morning praise opened the day. Then, morning exercise followed. After they ate their
    breakfast they had to prepare for another activity, clean – up drive.

    After the activity, they informed themselves to go to DCES Ground for the closing / awarding
    program. The awarding for the best group or school was included in the program.

    Later on, everybody was getting packed and was ready to go home with the new lessons
    learned that can be used in their everyday lives. New memories and lessons happened on the
    District GSP Encampment. Then breaking of tent was done.
