RESOLUTION NO. 6-S-2018

“A RESOLUTION REORGANIZING THE BARANGAY PEACE & ORDER (BPOC) FOR 2018-2020 OF
BARANGAY COMOD-OM, ALCANTARA,ROMBLON

WHEREAS, section 2 OF Executive order 366 (creation of Barangay Peace and Order
Committee); DILG MC 2002-02 (Strengthening the Barangay peace & Order Committee); & POC MC No.
2002-05 (Guidelines on the operationalization of Barangay Peace & Order Committee as the
implementing arm of the City/Municipal peace & Order Committee at the Barangay.
WHEREAS, The barangay Peace & Order Committee through tanods, shall undertake periodic
assessment of the prevailing peace an order situation, including the monitoring an checking of nefarious
activities of criminal elements within the area;
WHEREAS, The Barangay peace & Order committee shall regularly initiate , coordinate , an
monitor the implementation of Peace & order projects in the locality;
WHEREAS, the creation of Executive committee is to ensure that there shall represent the
committee & act in its behalf when it is not in session;
WHEREAS, the Executive committee & secretariat for the Barangay peace & Order Committee be
constituted as follows:

 NOWTHEREFORE, I Nicolas G. Galos, Punong barangay of Barangay Comod-om,, Municipality
of Alcantara, by virtue of power vested in me by law do hereby organize the Barangay Peace & Order
Committee (BPOC) as follows:

Section 1. Composition. The Barangay peace & Order committee is hereby organized to be constituted
as follows:

Section 2. Functions. The Barangay peace & order committee shall exercise the following functions:

1. Initiate ,coordinate & monitor the implementation of peace & order programs & projects at the
barangay level;
2. Serve as an info-gathering mechanism pertaining to peace & order;
3. Monitor & check the nefarious activities of criminal elements;
4. Supervise barangay tanods in identifying barangay constituents with strong deviant behavior
for referral to appropriate authorities;
5. Maintain continuing dialogue, close coordination & support to the city or municipal POC, the
city or municipal management coordinating committee & law enforcement units operating in the
Barangay;
6. Formulate plans & recommend measures which will improve or enhance peace & order & public
safety in its area of jurisdiction;
7. Supervise , coordinate & monitor the operations of all community based anti- crime activities
undertaken within the barangay;
8. Undertake periodic assessment of the prevailing peace & order situation in the Barangay &
submit a report with appropriate recommendations to the city/municipal POC; &
9. Perform such other functions which may be assigned by higher POCs.

Section 3. Funding Support. Funding support for the Barangay Peace & order committee shall be
charge against the fund of the Barangay Government subject to availability of funds & to the usual
accounting & auditing rules & regulations.

RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE HON. GOVERNOR EDUARDO C. FIRMALO TO APPROPRIATE

THE AMOUNT OF FIVE HUNDRED THOUSAND PESOS (500,000.00) FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF
CONCRETE HEALTH CENTER IN BARANGAY COMOD-OM,ALCANTARA,ROMBLON

WHEREAS, Barangay Comod-om in Alcantara,Romblon is a depressed barangay;

 WHEREAS, health is everybody’s concerned and “ health is wealth”.

WHEREAS, barangay Comod-om has no permanent barangay Health center, and the Barangay
Government has no fund for said project;

NOWTHEREFORE, on motion of Hon. Glen A. Soliven seconded by all members present the
Body has-

RESOLVED, as it is hereby resolved to request the Honorable Governor Eduardo C. Firmalo to

appropriate the amount of five hundred thousand pesos (500,000.00) for the construction of a concrete
Health Center for barangay Comod-om,Alcantara,Romblon.

RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE HONORABLE CONGRESSMAN ELEANDRO JESUS F. MADRONA TO

APPROPRIATE FUNDS FOR THE REHABILITATION OF SITIO ALIMANGO WATER SPRING DEVELOPMENT

WHEREAS, the water tank of Sitio Alimango Water Spring Development is very narrow and have many
leakage and it needs for rehabilitation;

WHEREAS, some steel water pipes connection have been disconnected and dislocated;

WHEREAS, the rehabilitation /repair of Sitio Alimango Water Spring Development cannot be
implemented by the Barangay alone without any assistance coming from the National Government and
other agencies;

WHEREAS, it is the consensus and felt need of all the residents that the Sitio Alimango Water Spring will
be rehabilitate and expanded for a big volume of water deposit to facilitate proper distribution of water
supply to accommodate and to cover most household be reached;

NOW THEREFORE, on motion of Hon. Edito P. Martinez Jr. and duly seconded by all members present,
the Body has-

RESOLVED, as it hereby resolved to furnish copies of this resolution for funding/appropriation for the
Sitio Alimango Water Spring Development;

RESOLVED FURTHER to furnish copies of this resolution to the following for their information and
favorable action:
