    The story is about a class of students named Zara, Omar, Beno, Leila, and Kofi who are caring for three baby chicks named Fluff, Puff, and Scruff. One day, when Zara goes to feed the chicks, she notices that Scruff is missing from the cage. The class bands together to search the classroom for Scruff. Eventually, Miss Garcia hears scratching noises coming from the back of the room, and they discover that Scruff had been playing hide and seek without leaving the cage.

    Zara liked feeding the baby chicks.
    She liked to fill up their dish and watch
    them peck.

    ‘One, two, three chicks,’ said Zara.
    ‘Fluff, Puff and Scruff.’

    One day the cage door was open.
    Zara looked inside.
