MODULE 7: BEHAVIORISM
From Module on Behaviorism, I realized that learning is based on the idea that all
behaviors are acquired through conditioning. Conditioning occurs through interaction with the
environment. I learned that our responses to other people and socialization shape our actions.
MODULE 8: NEO-BEHAVIOURISM
From Module on Neo-behaviorism, I realized that our behavior cannot be fully
understood simply in terms of observable stimuli and reactions. We act based on beliefs,
attitudes, changing conditions which strive towards our goals. Learning also can occur through
observation alone without a change in behavior. Reinforcement and punishment influence the
result of individuals’ behavior that has been learned.

1. Explain the educational implication of the social learning theory of Albert Bandura.
Modeling is very important in Bandura’s theory. Children tend to perform as their
parents expect. Teachers can use techniques learned from different theories to help the
students succeed and to reduce the stress that affects the student’s success and
performance.
