The learning competency, prepare technical
drawing is not easy as it may seem. It requires one of the

ANNOTATION

The exposure of student in various algorithms


related to the preparations of flowcharts lead him to
understand the value of preparing the algorithm first before
the flowchart. This helped him to demonstrate significant
progress in the learning competency, prepare technical
drawings.

The Weekly Home Learning Plan enabled teachers to become more organize in presenting the targeted learning objectives. Specifically, it
assist the teachers in creating classroom routines that are adaptive to the teaching-learning processes.

ANNOTATION
I constantly record students’ output after the set
deadline. I do this on a regular basis to ensure that students are
aware of their missing activities. Moreover, it served as a
monitoring tool for me to identify students who really need help.

ANNOTATION
In teaching Computer Systems Servicing NCII (CSS
NCII), I modified some of the materials given by the Schools
Division Office of Manila to suit students’ diversities and needs. In
modifying the given materials, I ensured that it is still tailored to the
Curriculum Guide of CSS NCII. Moreover, this modification
adheres to the concept of localization and contextualization.

Teaching Technical-Vocational-Livelihood (TVL)
learning competencies is very challenging in this new normal
education, since it requires authentic assessments. Teachers must
be careful in crafting objectives derived to the learning competency
to still uphold the minimum conceptual understanding needed to
perform the learning competency.

ANNOTATION
As mentioned earlier, teaching Technical-Vocational-Livelihood (TVL) learning competencies is very challenging in this new
normal education, since it requires authentic assessments. Teachers must apply the 21st century skills which is the creativity in crafting
assessments.

ANNOTATION
In online distance learning, students appreciated if the teachers are organized in presenting instructional activities in the
Learning Management System (LMS). In our case, we sued Google Classroom. As shown above, I used the learning competency
as a topic in the classwork and put every instructional activities inside that topic.

ANNOTATION
Teachers are expected to positive use ICT in teaching and learning. In my case, I was able to used self-develop instructional
material called learning objects (LOs). LOs are created using kotobee author. These LOs are self-contained, it means that it can be used
as independent learning materials for students. Moreover, I used quizizz to verified students’ performance in synchronous and
asynchronous classes.

Prior to the official start of class, I was selected to write self-learning modules and activity sheets for Computer Systems
Servicing NCII class in the regional level. Specifically, in the learning competency, Set router/Wi-fi/wireless access point/repeater
configuration (TLE_IACSS9- 12SUCN-If-j-IIae-35). Moreover, I was appointed as facilitator in the Computer Systems Servicing NCII group.

“SULONG EDUKALIDAD”
The Philippine education system undergone drastic changes due to COVID-19 pandemic. The administrators,
educators, stakeholders, education enthusiasts in quest to discover interventions to these challenging time. One of the
solutions adopted is to shift to distance learning. Distance learning is defined as the separation of teacher and students in a
physical classroom where instructions are used in modules, Internet and alike. The Department of Education through DM-CI-
2020-00162 informed the teachers of the suggested Learning Management System (LMS) to be used for school year 2020-
2021. Google Classroom is one of the recognized and suggested LMS.in quest to discover how will education look like in this
challenging time. Each student enrolled in the Schools Division Office – Manila received a Google Workplace account,
formerly known as G Suite, which enabled them to access a collection of cloud computing productivity tools that allow ICT
integration in the teaching and learning process. These initiatives encouraged teachers to maximize the positive use of ICT in
this trying times. Hence, the adoption of educational technologies in the form of material and non-material technologies rise.
Moreover, these LDM portfolio encapsulated my support to the stated initiatives. It is indeed that with my willingness to learn
nothing is possible.

Parent-teacher conferences are great opportunity to celebrate students’ growth or think of possible solutions involving
parents/guardians to assist students’ difficulties. This will remind us that academic progress is a consolidated efforts between students,
teachers, parents, and school administrators. Indeed, a team effort. As a practice, I make an effort to connect with parents on a regular
basis.

As mentioned earlier, academic progress is a consolidated efforts between students, teachers, parents, and school
administrators. Indeed, a team effort. As a practice, I constantly informed via messenger the class advisers regarding the challenges in our
class.

I created a messenger group chat to keep my students informed. Through this, I was able to received prompt responses to

We can’t deny that there are a lot of considerations to be made in conducting virtual meetings, but one thing is for sure, it
does not hinder the love of teachers for professional development. In one of our virtual meetings, I was very happy to be selected as one of
the speakers in our SB-INSET. I helped the teachers in preparing video lessons for asynchronous learning.

As soon as you involve stakeholders, you are more likely to achieve key benefits. Information, consultation, and involvement
of partners to educational system can help achieve the set goals of both parties. I will personally recommend the idea of virtual parent-
teacher conferences even after the pandemic, since it offers a more convenient to parents/guardians.
